Buyer beware. Xero charges an additional 1 month fee BEYOND your cancelation request. So if you plan to close your account, you will need to know 2 months in advance because they charge for the following month AFTER your cancel date.anonuser2018
US support is non existent.
Haven’t been able to get help from an agent that actually understands how us businesses operate. Or maybe the internal US office whistleblowers story is true. Google search that one for the sorrid details. I don’t want to say much more than that.DavidDepape
Lacking Features
Great accounting product. Some features such as taking photographs of receipts need to be improved on so as to remove the background which is done in QuickBooks i.e. the desk.
Also, if you need to adjust a payment you need to completely delete the payment and download the attachments and re enter them which is a complete waste of time. When I previously used QuickBooks I didn’t have to do this so find this feature or lack there of annoying.
When entering a receipt you need to manually enter the description unless it is manually programmed and you cannot enter your own, for example ‘fuel’ is available however, I run a building company and constantly need to enter the word ‘materials’ which again is time consuming.Show lessECRP & Co

I’ve used Xero for my small furniture making business for the last 3 years and it’s a complete game changer. Invoicing / Coding / accounting etc. all intuitive and easy to manage.Nzjemnz

Hopefully you can fix this asap coz I can’t do my invoices. (I’m using my iPhone 7) it only works in my computer.. I can’t send an invoice after a small job (want to do it on my phone) coz some clients want to be invoiced straight away.

Total Profit no longer works
The app is OK but the latest version 8.1.1 has removed the total profit feature from the main screen. This is really the key feature of the app as our accounts team do the rest in the full version. Hoping this will be fixed again soon. I did raise it with support but have yet to receive a reply after a week. That’s probably the biggest downside of Xero is the lack of support - for a business service that’s pretty poor as we have been trying to resolve bank payments reconciliation for a long time.
