  • Inconsistent

    I love the camera when it works, but it’s 50/50 in picking up people and movement. Half the time the mailman is identified and the other half the camera doesn’t record him. Wish there was a focus to set the distance we need. Same with people walking in front of the house. A couple of days ago, 2 adults walking their medium-sized dog was not identified, but bugs and flies are recorded every 5 minutes, probably due to their proximity to the camera. However, it will pick up a vehicle passing on the street beyond the entrance to our block-long cul d’sac.

    The only reliable way is see if there was anyone in our yard is to do playback and then I have to move it 3 seconds ahead manually or see it in real time. Wish there was a fast forward.

    Also, the speaker is very slow to respond and visitors are out of the driveway by the time my voice can be heard.

  • App is unreliable

    I’ve had no problems with the camera. Dark mode works fine. The app however is unreliable. It’s constantly logging me out. Won’t even allow me to log back in today. I’ve changed the notification times, but was still receiving motion notifications during the times it was supposed to be disabled. Or I just don’t receive any when it decides to log me out. Beyond frustrating.

  • Great App

    I’ve found this app to be adequate, I love that it notifies my phone each time it detects motion. We feel safer as the camera is visible and anyone visiting our home will see it. I also like the microphone option.
  • Unreliable

    App is constantly logging me out and I don’t realize it until I notice I haven’t been getting any push notifications about any movement going on. When the sun sets, I constantly have to remember to restart the camera via the app settings because the camera doesn’t automatically adjust to night mode. Videos will be pitch black if I don’t restart the app. Just very unreliable overall.

  • Good and bad...

    The cameras are awesome, very clear and excellent range. The app however can use some help.

    My suggestions:

    1. A home screen that allows you to see all cameras live in micro view.

    2. The ability to create camera groups to see all in micro view, example, all indoor cams in one group, outdoor in another, etc..

    3. The ability to disable motion detection or activate sleep mode on all cameras in a group with one toggle switch. I have many Netvue cams now and if I want to turn off motion detection, I have to go to the settings of each camera individually, this is very time consuming.

    If you make these changes, your app will be nearly perfect.

    I’ll add to these suggestions over time.

  • Easy to use

    The app made camera setup easy. The instructions were clear and offer alternative ways to activate the camera. My only issue is that there isn’t a setting to get notifications if motion is detected in certain zones.
  • Great product.

    Great product I have seen in a while. This device does what it was intended. Glitchyness is due to my personal internet abilities. Some of the reports u read here are because folks don’t understand that simple fact about tech items.
  • Logging out

    I’ve updated the app and it still logs me out every single time I close the app, I don’t understand why it does this, but it defeats the purpose of having the cameras because when it logs me out after closing app then I no longer receive notifications when motion is happening ??
  • App is OK but beware!!

    This app’s learning curve is unacceptably non-intuitive. Once figured out, however, it is pretty good. Lots of room for simplifying and streamlining for sure. Customer support is relatively quick but results in “pat” answers that seem generic and don’t address the simple questions I ask (i.e., where is the status light located on a Virgil cam?). Frustrating! Also, the AI Motion feature needs further availably, especially as it applies to their Virgil Outdoor cameras (advertised as available but isn’t). Detecting humans before sending notifications is essential to avoid getting an endless stream of “passing cars” notifications that are a waste of time when human intrusion is the only reason why I have these cameras. Bottom line, Netvue outdoor Virgil cameras have great potential but I don’t recommend buying one until the concerns listed above are actually fixed and not just promised!!!

As for the app, if you could give us your suggestions, it would be great; And we feel sorry that not able to address your problem effieiently, we will work to improve that; AI Motion Detection, compared to general Motion Detection, can detect human from other moving objects, and this function is indeed available on Vigil outdoor camera, you can go to Cloud Service to find it; If you don't wnat to be bothered by car notification, you can just enable "Human Alert Only", then you will be only notified by human notifications.   • Great Camera

    Love this camera. Only suggestion, there should be a time option to switch from daylight mode to infrared night mode because when watching TV in a dark room, the light from the TV can make the camera constantly change from daylight to night mode.
