  • Good picture but...

Very easy to set up. App was easy to find and downloaded with no problems. My only issue is the we bought three cameras and I don’t like that we can’t view all three live at the same time. My previous cameras allowed us to be able to see all our cameras live on the same screen. If y’all could fix that one issue I would give it 5 stars.

  • Used to be good.

Used to work well. Now the website UI is completely unusable and confusing. Took me forever to get my service upgraded, and now it’s not even working or recording the device I paid for. Also, why in the world is there #caughtonnetvue as a permanent fixture on the app menu? No one will use that feature enough to justify that. People using this app are in a task positive mindset, we aren’t opening it to browse cat videos. Cameras work well. App is okay but really poorly planned. Website and upgrade services are garbage.

  • Waste of money if it stays the same

I will not be renewing my service unless that update two major things:

1- actually recognize motion. As it is is shows and “motion” and “human” indication key, but only the “motion” shows up, and it only shows up in 5 minute increments.. makes it worthless.

2- allow for fast forwarding. Currently you can only watch your history in normal time. Give point 1, it’s impossible to quickly view what’s going on outside

If the developers don’t update these two items, save you money and go with literally any of the other tens of companies that have good software.

  • Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had

I had a camera that was quick and easy to install, worked great for a month or two. Then it stopped working and I wanted to continue my subscription. Customer service literally said (I’d post picture but I don’t see a way to) “do it yourself” and sent me the website. One rep wouldn’t even type to me, would only send me screenshots of how I don’t have a subscription. At this point rather toss the camera and go with a different one who actually wants customers.

  • Will not record

Great camera, the SD card will not work, look at other reviews to learn more, and poor customer support:
-You will receive a generic customer service response as the service representative is not qualified to resolve your issues.
-You will not be able to format your SD card for playback and will not be happy in the long run
-Unless you are willing to pay for monthly cloud storage subscription, I would defer to a different camera.

  • What support?

I paid for a subscription on one camera. My SD card reader on the camera doesn’t work. Every time I try to close the door with an SD card in it, the camera just pushes the SD card in enough to make it want to eject. So I switched to cloud service. I PAID for it, and NOTHING. I’ve contacted support no less than 5 times and they haven’t helped at all. One person said I didn’t have a subscription linked to my camera? Then what is it linked to? What did I pay for? I check my subscriptions and it said I paid. I’m at the point where I’m going to stop using this app and this camera and go back to Arlo or Wyze.

  • Great picture, inconsistent motion

The whole point is to be notified when someone is on our porch or driveway. It worked beautifully day 1, and not at all day 2. I can still view live & recorded, but zero notifications.

Support has been useless. I have attempted Live Chat that no one responded to, and have emailed Support at their provided email. The only response from them (twice!) is to “log in to original account”. We only have 1 account so yeah, it’s logged in to the original.

  • Great app, has a few small issues to fix

I like this app and I think it is great for monitoring the cameras on my house. However... when viewing live video you cannot completely mute the audio. If the developers could change the app to use the correct AudioSession mode so that it can be muted that would be amazing! I believe it is currently configured as a microphone recording session when it doesn’t need to be. Take a look at your rival app Manything and you will see they don’t need that mode to achieve the same results.

Thanks for your suggestion, that's really helpful! We will take that into consideration in the future development.
  • Does the job

OK so at first I had some issue but it was mainly user error, 5ghz isn’t supported so if you split out your SSID’s endure your phone is connected to the 2.4ghz and that is the one you select to join the camera to. Once all setup it’s easy enough, the motion detection gives false positives with rain but is to be expected. Good quality and seems to work well so far, I may try the cloud based AI stuff soon.

  • Looks great but..

When I bought this camera I thought it was great, it passed all my tests prior to on site installation. Now it is so unreliable and unpredictable that it takes the record for the worst camera I have ever bought. To be fair it may be faulty but owing to coronavirus I cannot access it to return it to the supplier. I have other cameras of Chinese origin which are totally reliable but have their own limitations. Why oh why do Asian cameras not support the ONVIF standard.
