  • Very, very basic

No way to contact them to get help apart from some articles, which, as usual, do not deal with the problem.
Password recovery is very poor: the “send to email” option did not work.
  • Giffgaff gosh!

So glad I have trusted my instincts and all the outstanding reviews to use giffgaff. No nonsense, no stress, first class customer service. I initially purchased a refurbished iPhone. It was as described, but I decided for £30 more I could buy a new iPhone, identical model.

On returning the refurbished phone my refund was almost instantaneously dealt with. Giffgaff held my hand all the way, metaphorically. My replacement new iPhone was safely delivered rapidly. It is just what I expected and wanted.

It ain’t broke so please don’t fix it giffgaff, you are the nuts so to speak 😜 from a highly contented new giffgaff lover in East Sussex x

  • Does what I need, more informative than the WebSite ;)

It does what I need, which is to see how fast my 'Endless 80+ Gig' is vanishing; it goes much faster than I can account for; This App is more useful & informative than the 'UpSell' WebSite ;)

Overall a good service, but scary & quite expensive how fast the 'NOT at all Endless' data gets used up. Suspect a 'data leak' at my end; a Utility called 'PeerBlock' reveals extensive outgoing traffic; but AntiVir, AntiMal & total Win10 re-install from Microsoft didn't fix it. So NOT GiffGaffs fault in any way; they simply revealed it!
Much better to know than have it hidden ;)

  • Needs a upgrade

I cannot say that I don’t think Giffgaff is a great network provider as it is. Having moved off contract for 3 years I won’t be looking at rejoins EE, Vodaphone, 3 or any other provider as I’ve had previously. However, this app needs a upgrade the interface of the app is just boring and a little tedious to navigate. The different options at the bottom of the app seems dated and I’d prefer a built in option linked directly to your account that provides a 3 month summary of usage, loan breakdown for handsets etc and the option to make additional payments on loans etc all via the app...
The options to also shop handset or if the company could consider wireless earphones would be a bonus. I find this service really good but a little basic when it doesn’t need to be.
Would like to give more stars but the app really warrants a upgrade now.

  • Technical problems

Disappointed to say the least. Was notified by the automated service that I would need to top up. Opened the app on my phone and needed to log in despite having finger Touch ID. Regardless I logged in my member name and password and they didn’t match so tried again. Was then informed I had two identities for same account. The reason for this is because my ID was not accepted previously so I changed it Oct 2019. Due to this I reverted to previous ID. Following this I was informed my sim was inactive. I emailed giffgaff, explaining everything. Their advice was to log in using specified ID. When the log in screen came up the ID they had recommended I use was my member name yet I was requested to put in my password. Knowing this would be incorrect I decided to contact them again but none of the options were adequate or kept taking me back to main menu.
Despite being told, incorrectly, that I needed a new sim, the following day I received a second reminder informing me they had given me an extra 1mb data and to top up. Now, with patience and time exhausted ( this started three days ago) I see no point using ‘my account’ because I know my details will again not be accepted. and the whole process will be repeated again!! I will therefore not be able to increase my monthly amount as intended ,worse still I will run completely out of data and have no means of contacting them or anyone else.
    Ridiculous situation.

  • Top issue

It is not user friendly at all .. I was trying to top up my account as data finished and it cumbersome process 😡😡😡
  • Bit confusing

Bought a £6 card at the store, but upon activating I had to choose a package - didn’t I pay to get £6 in store??
Also, community is on a different side, not actually on the app, so you have to log in to ask questions every time.
Bringing a friend over to giffgaff should make it worth my while from the first card, I am doing your marketing after all, so £6 instead of £5 seems more than fair compensation for my efforts to keep contact with friends and family through this group??
It’s also limited in UI & UX - the app is not as intuitive as the developers seem to think it is.
Even with loads of sms’s that I’ve had to send with specific codes, EE got that part set up very informatively, leaving me informed at all times and not confused - go check out the competition.

  • Good app, lousy service

The app is pretty good, but the GiffGaff phone service is pretty useless. Works okay for phone calls, but won’t send texts and the data connection is spotty at best. A lot of features just don’t work.
  • Poor app

Really poorly designed apps. Not at all user friendly and you don’t have convenient way to look at your current usage of data under your plan.
  • Not happy

Used all my data while traveling which is why I needed this. Wouldn’t let me purchase more data. Read on line that if I bought a new goody bag it would A
