  • Absolute junk…and misleading

    Can’t get Ocean Ready in this ‘new’ and useless app, despite been Green lane on both the old app and the website. No, this junk still has the ridiculous ( and possibly dangerous) requirement to lodge details of a credit card with Radiqal Gaming LLC ( rated one star out of five on the internet) for on shore purchases. No way.
    And it asks me every time what upgrades I want despite the fact that their software already knows exactly what I have. And then try and navigate around all tihisnredundant questioning. The software numpties have really let you down on this one, Princess….get organised!!
  • Login issues

    Keep getting login error messages on 2nd login attempt after resetting password. Deleted the medallion app since it is being phased out and downloaded this one. Tried logging in using user name and password that I have saved in iPhone and got a login error message. Retried a few times and finally reset password. The reset password (saved to iPhone) worked the first attempt immediately after resetting, but then doesn’t work with subsequent attempts. This reset and login has now been done over 5 times in the past few weeks.
  • Bush league at best

    Got a free specialty dinner? If the app lets you book it, be sure it is what you want, because if you cancel the booking, the app won’t let you rebook it for free any longer. Princess phone support says you’ve used your free credit, tough luck. Wow, too much to program in a reinstatement of the credit?

    You used to be able to look at multiple bookings by switching which booking you want to work with on the Profile screen. Not anymore. Only see your upcoming booking. Princess phone support says they took out that feature because it was too confusing to guests. Really?
    I suppose, if if I continue to want to cruise Princess I’ll only book one cruise at a time…I wouldn’t want to confuse them.
  • App needs a lot of work

    This app needs a lot of work. I am on a cruise and every day all my bookmarks disappear. I have to delete the app and download again. Good thing my package includes wifi but boy is it slow!

    Plus when I try to sign in with login and password, I get this ridiculous thing saying I need parental consent. I could ask my 85 year old mother for permission but that seems a little unnecessary lol. I worked around this by logging in with my booking number which is a hassle.

    I like locating shipmates but they need to add the ability to chat with them too. Hopefully this feature will come with the next version...unfortunately too late for us.
  • Use the Previous App

    I never write a review but felt the need to after going on a Princess cruise while using this app. This app is clearly missing many features that the old version still has. The design and aesthetics may be nicer, but it seems that it’s still in development. Many features and location of items either placed in hard to find places or just not available. I highly recommend using the old version while on a cruise since it provides more information in an organized manner.
  • Poorly Done

    First, cannot use the chat at all to speak to someone about the issues in this new app. Second, doesn’t seem to recognize that I am fully paid. Whenever I try to reserve a specialty dining, it insists that I must pay up front by credit card. In the old app, one just reserved, and then paid with onboard credit, or with the credit card at the end of the voyage. Also, doesn’t seem to know that I am in a suite category When it comes to dining reservations. not comfortable to use.
  • Beyond “needs” work

    They entered wrong birth year when we booked the cruise. And mobile app tells me when I enter the booking number and email that IID is being used by someone else. WTH
    I’ve deleted and reinstalled and deleted and reinstalled still nothing has changed. TA has spent 8 hours on the phone with them and they claim there are issues but they are working on it… how hard is it to go into the system and change 2 numbers???
    If I go into the profile in the app and want to change my account info, all it will let me edit is display name not my birth year…
    Beyond frustrating and have a very bad inkling this is the beginning of major issues to come!!!
  • This new app is useless

    This is a word of advice. Continue using the original Medallion app as this new one doesn’t function properly while on a cruise. The new app doesn’t show your cabin number or elite status. You also cannot make dining reservations, see your account statement or see any future cruises already booked. Princess released this new app way too soon because there are so many glitches to fix. The tech crew on board is stuck dealing with angry and confused guests, and their only reply is that hopefully a revision will be available soon.
  • Absolutely awful.

    Interface is slow and buggy. Sporadically logs me out at random times. Dining reservations are randomly deleted - I’ve made them four times, including once over the phone, and they randomly disappear from the app; calling customer support I’m told they have no record of those reservations, and that the app has been having some issues. I’ve redone my reservations 3 times and called in twice, but they just randomly disappear again and again. Sometimes I login and my cruise isn’t even listed - my whole trip disappears at random times so I camp even book excursions or make payments. Completely unreliable garbage.
  • Terrible amateurish app

    This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. The Ocean Ready checklist ids not accurate. Customer service sees different things than I see. Fortunately customer service says I’m ready. We will see.
    Navigating excursions is awful. Tapping details forces you to return to the top of the excursion list every time. And it asks to reveries cookies at seemingly random moments.
    Finally I was ready to checkout for $500+ of excursions and it won’t let me. It actually freezes me out saying my session has expired. Expired! Even though I had interacted with the app of over two hours.
    For what the cruise costs and how Princess forces us to use the app, their developers should probably test it before making us use it.
