Wait of money

I’ve used MDLive 5 different times each time I have been very sick. The first 3 times I used them and was told I have a respiratory infection. I had no cough just severe chest congestion they prescribed cough pearls for a cough I didn’t have. I didn’t get better a week later I called back this doctor said I have walking pneumonia she prescribed me an antibiotic and within days I was feeling myself again. Here I am feeling the same way I did a few month back when I had walking pneumonia I got a appt and this guy tells me I have upper respiratory and tried to give me the coughing pearls again with a inhaler I already had those and they don’t work so he said well then you don’t need anything else have a good day by. Either these people do not care or they are highly uneducated and need to go back to school. The last thing I want to be is sick let alone have to take medication and if your going to take money from some one you should actually listen to them and treat them right. I do not recommend using them it will be a waist of your money or copay. I found one doctor that actually listened to me and spent over 30 minutes on the call giving me helpful information to help me naturally with my sickness. I can’t even breath right now I know that Dr heard my shortness of breath this last visit.

Excellent aside from one thing

I've been using MDLive for a little over two years now and it's been great! Unfortunately due to certain unforseen circumstances I've had to switch doctors a couple times and it hasn't been an issue till now. Dr. Sayonara Baez arrives to calls late every time we have a scheduled appointment, and this last time she forgot to give my pharmacy the order to refill my medication! Forcing me to schedule another appointment, in which an error occured where the call ended up failing. This of course wasn't her fault, but after calling support they let me know she's supposed to call three times in order to at least TRY in this situation. Thirty minutes have gone by and no attempt at a second try has happened. This app/website is genuinely really great! It helps me get my needed medication, and most of its affiliated doctors are awesome! I do think it would be a nice change if they added some way to "rate" doctors or leave a specific review so that people don't need to resort to picking a doctor and hoping they end up being good at their job.

It’s Like Having A provider In My Pocket!

I am housebound and was in need of a Dr ASAP. My insurance company informed me that I could use MDLIVE and I immediately downloaded the app.
Filling out my personal information was a bit time consuming, although I suppose that would depend on the individual. It was comprehensive and exactly like what I’d do at any Dr’s office.
I was connected to a “real” physician within 10 min. The Dr had already viewed my medication and medical history, including a photo of my concern. We discussed the medications I was taking, how my concern had started, duration, etc. Then he began with his diagnoses.
After a short time, the Dr had prescribed medication, explained how to use it, I received a text stating my prescription had been received by my pharmacy.
I have been using MDLIVE, for the past six months, and will continue as long as I have the option. It cost nothing for me to try it and all copays are upfront.

WORST CARE EVER

First of all, my doctor HUNG UP ON ME. while i was talking.

So I've had cold symptoms that my household has passed around for about two weeks, I'm the last one to catch whatever it is, but everyone else took amoxicillin and immediately started improving. I told my doctor this and she refused to listen, saying my symptoms were 'viral'. She then prescribed me two over the counter medications I've already bought and been taking for three days, with no signs of improvement. The third and final prescription was a random nausea medication that counteracts fatally with my anxiety medication, and if I didn't already know this and took the medication, there's a large chance I could've had a fatal heart attack from that medication. I told support this and not only did they refuse to give me a different appointment with a different doctor, they gaslit me, literally saying 'she's a professional, you being unhappy with her care is your problem'. Help desk refused to let me speak with a supervisor, saying basically all I could do was wait a few days and make another appointment or go to the emergency room. WORST APPOINTMENT IVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. the entirety of the call lasted just under 4 minutes. DONT DOWNLOAD THIS APP.

The doctor wouldn’t help me with a sore throat chest cough

She didn’t even ask to go on video so she could look at my tonsils. She just wrote me within the first few seconds of the conversation so I wrote her off as well. Now I have to go to my doctor and have him check me out so I can write the board about this lady. I’m filing a report. This women is playing jealousy with my health. This was the first time I tried to do government controlled insurance. Idk why when people are trying to get help you got pharmacist, nurses, aids and doctors trying to play god with someone’s health. I have a history since I was a baby of walking pneumonia, tonsillitis and strep. All the lady had to do was look at my chart. I guess it’s too much to ask that that she do her job. I usually don’t take time out of my life to be mad about stuff like this but I think this time I’m going to. This can’t be legal.

A mental lifesaver

We live on the road and I could not do so without MDLIVE. It truly allows us to live the way we want to. I can’t put into words how grateful I am, that we finally have mental help on the move. It has been too long coming. I hate that it has taken a pandemic to open these avenues. But it has made such a beautiful difference for those of us that want to live away from a doctors office.

Update: we now have a landing place so I can call without having to worry about the location. To have the ability to speak to someone like my therapist, is priceless for two reasons; I could not afford to go to a therapist often and because there are just reasons why you can’t share your feelings even with your family. When brother died, I didn’t know how to handle it, but with Violet, she just let me dump it out and appreciate that the grief is as strong as the love, and that I am going to be OK. I was able to make an appointment that day! Having bipolar ism, this avenue is a lifesaver.

Thank you so much for your review!

Worst experience I have ever had

If there was a zero star option that’s what I’d give it. We needed to see a doctor for our daughter. I remembered our insurance offered free telemedicine through MDLIVE so I gave it a shot. When we got through the initial screening we were told 60+ minutes. We figured that was ok and just settled in. About 30 minutes later it changed to “within 60 minutes “ so we felt like we were progressing. Not long after it told us within 10 minutes. That’s when it all came apart.

After waiting 2+ hours, after being told within 10 minutes, we were kicked out of the waiting room. After calling MDLIVE customer service, their agent couldn’t have cared less and only wanted to get us off the phone. Her solution was she could put us back in the waiting room where the wait was 60+ minutes (I could have done that myself). After trying to reason with her, which was as useful as trying to reason with a pile of rocks, I gave up. Congratulations MDLIVE, you win but I will NEVER recommend this service to anyone.

Such a waste of time and effort.

Hello. We're so sorry for any frustration you may have experienced. At your earliest convenience, please email us at letushelpyou@mdlive.com. Thank you.

Fast easy great!

I was able to get an appointment within 10 minutes of scheduling the request. They do a great job by giving you a phone call when the provider is ready; all you have to do then is log on to the app and your call is good to go. A quick five minute phone call and a breakdown of my history helped explain the medical need for a prescription I have taken half of my life, she was able to prescribe my medically necessary medication for acute symptoms, and recommended I follow up with my primary for a full regular prescription. This certainly helped me being new to the area, new with Optima insurance and not yet having all of my permanent doctors in place yet. This is a super convenient and easy way to keep your health balanced, without even leaving your home!

Better than expected!

Since my insurance company partnered with MDLive, I thought it was just going to be quacks on video. I am so happy I was wrong!!! I have had very helpful and started many long term relationships with doctors and therapists in the last 3 months. My mother-in-law and I have both found new psychiatrists, psychologists, routine care (refills, yearly blood work, etc) specialists, and even great urgent health care needs met. Each doctor in your app is specifically licensed in your state which is great to know. I feel we are being well cared for with the addition of these doctors to our “normal” in-person visits.

What happened???

We had great experiences on this app until now. Used to see a quality provider quickly. Now the wait time is hours, even though the app consistently says less than 10 minute wait time. The provider appointment I had previous to this message I am leaving now was very bad. I waited hours for a rushed provider who did not have time for me and hung up on me before I could clarify or ask any questions. When I tried to contact the provider through the app (as there is an option to do so) I received a message that said patients can not leave messages. What?? I do not recommend this to others unless they return to the quality of service they once had. Something has gone terribly wrong and this is not what it once was.
