Waste of time

I am going to have to go to my primary doctor for my back pain because I was told to take over the counter ibuprofen or Tylenol, get a massage and take a warm bath. So much for trying to avoid an in person visit due to Covid rates increasing. I also let her know in the past I was given a steroid pack since she couldn’t prescribe a muscle relaxer and she said that would not help. But I have already been taking ibuprofen, using a icy hot type rub, taking hot showers and stretching since this happened Friday, almost a week now. Setting up this account, the phone call and now this review have been a waste of time.

AMAZING

This service is almost too good to be true. $0 charge to speak to a doctor and specialists? Yepp! Doctor called within 5 minutes of my consultation request and had a prescription waiting at my pharmacy in another 15. A total of $6 (after using the prescription discount tool in the app) and I’m on my way to feeling better within 20 minutes - without having to be exposed to the public whatsoever... What a game changer, especially with the pandemic. If you have access to HealthiestYou/Teladoc, I would highly recommend taking advantage of the services. If you don’t, I would question your employer’s benefits package.

Trash App, Horrible Customer Service

This app is truly a piece of trash and I wish I could give zero stars. My insurance plan switched from BetterHelp over to this and I’ve suffered with it for the last year. I tried for over a year to use this app and it never worked properly. Constant loading errors or it would just redirect me to Safari for whatever I was trying to do. Customer service is absolutely horrible. They responded to my issues with rude and unhelpful comments and eventually stopped responding altogether. After every appointment they send you a survey and I filled it out every. time. even checking the box asking for someone to contact and me and they NEVER reached out to me. That’s one survey a week for a year and they never reached out. This is a horrible service.

App doesn’t work

I’m very dissatisfied with this app. Every time I try to login I can’t. It brings up a number for me to call instead. I deleted the app and tried again - created a new password then logged in and my session expired - before I was even able to do anything on the app. I don’t want to call - I want to do everything from the app. In the past, two years ago when our school district gave us this option, the app worked great. Not sure what has happened.

I used the app about a month ago and ended up calling because the app wouldn’t work and talked with someone that I couldn’t understand and he had to read all the disclaimers that I would have seen on the app. He had to repeat himself several times because of not understanding him - once again very frustrating. I give this app two stars because I finally got to a Doc who was very friendly and to the point. I’m frustrated with the app - not the doctors.

Good but annoying/dangerous

I like the idea of this app and service and has been wonderful during these time but the biggest complaint I have which I hope the the providers and the service see is if you forget your apt or if the providers call you and you cannot pick up, you simply cannot call back or schedule the apt quickly again for that same day. Very very annoying and quite dangerous especially when it comes to prescription refills, I will have to go 1-2 weeks quoting cold turkey on my Rx because I of missing my apt not on purpose and not being able to simply call the number back right away. I will be finding a new service due to this happening for the 3rd time.

Pointless

Our company was using the regular teledoc app and decided to switch to this piece of garbage. The only thing the app does is tell you to call a phone number. The first time I tried to use it I had to call and give my medical history over the phone. 30 minutes later the lady was able to make me an appointment. After the visit I got an email saying I had a message in the app. Open the app click on messages and what do you know it says to call a phone number. Nothing in the app works except the Covid quiz which you can easily find on any other medical website or app. I liked teledoc because it let me get medical help without worrying about being exposed to Covid or taking a bunch of time off of work to do it but this is useless.

this is the worst app i’ve ever used

for a MENTAL HEALTH APP, omg it’s the most un user friendly thing i’ve ever encountered. i’m pretty decent at tech of all kinds, doing online stuff and usually have no trouble with any of my apps. the format of this thing is so confusing and hard to navigate. i feel horrible for the people who give up after their fifth or sixth attempt to make it work cuz they are coming to the app for MENTAL HEALTH to find a therapist. luckily i stuck it out and on my eleventh try i got in. i still have weekly issues with it and my appointments get canceled for no reason. on the other hand, the therapist they connected me with is amazing and she does her best to navigate the automated cancellations with me. seriously my therapist from here is awesome but it took me ten million tries to get to her. whoever makes this app please do an overhaul of the format.

I didn’t even get out of bed to have a prescription written

I contracted strep throat. I’ve had it before, so I know what it feels like. I also know what it looks like, and what the general symptoms are. I get it it bad, with pain and malaise all around.

It’s Sunday (yes I am writing this same day), and doctors typically aren’t open. As much as I appreciate Urgent Cares as much as the other acutely ill, I feel like a sore throat in need of a little amoxicillin is a mild prognosis for attending Urgent Care...

Let me tell you! I had a free scheduled online physician phone call, a diagnosis, and a prescription scripted and ready for pickup, all before my feet set down on the floor to get my writhing body out of bed. Whomever the coding genie in the bottle is, you have indirectly granted me my one medical wish...fast fast fast access to scripts when they are medically needed.

To the coding and device management junkies of the world; I greatly thank you.

And of course, I greatly appreciate all of the fully qualified physicians and pharmacists willing to make this app a shockingly great one.

I’ll update if this is just a fluke due to weekend holiday

I bought this telehealth stuff through my employer, which is a school, at the beginning of the pandemic in March. I read reviews about how backlogged they were so I never used it until now, which is July 5th, middle of the night. I went to our 50th annual family reunion a few days ago and came back with what I’m 99% sure is a brown recluse bite. Living in Oklahoma and Arkansas for almost 40 years, I’ve somehow never gotten one, but I’ve known many people who have. The app said I’d receive service in less than 10 minutes and I’ve been waiting roughly two hours and it’s crashed once. This was an estimate, granted, but that’s a pretty crappy estimate. Now it’s coming up on 5am, and I’m up much later than I intended. If this is a recluse bite, which I’m near certain it is, rest is a main component of healing. It just takes the convenience out of it when the wait times are so incredibly off track. I recognize that’s a very first world problem to have, but still. How long is too long to sit and wait? 5 hours?

It is ok...

Great if you have urgent needs for medically related issues however I think some functionality needs to be added such as ability to message your provider. I was supposed to have a visit and was in the waiting room for 30 minutes with no ability to contact my provider.

I also find that I have to fill out the survey over and over again, and each time I request appointments I never get the times or dates I request, so I’m not sure why availability isn’t cohesive in the app.

I find these things quite frustrating.
