  • Worth every penny

We have 3 cats (12, 8, and 7 lbs) and used to have 2 auto scooping cat boxes, but we still had the smell. Also I HATE clay litter and the mess that comes with it. We finally upgraded last month and it’s been a godsend. We’ve switched over to corn/cassava litter, zero smell, notifications when the bin is full-right to my phone so I don’t forget. And my cats love it.
They had no issues transitioning and my youngest has figured out that when she steps on the pad, the cat box will stop moving during the auto clean cycle. She jumps on top of it so she can watch it finish the cycle. 10/10 would buy again.

  • App is terrible

I love the feeder, but the app is horrible. The app was great until they overhauled it in late 2021, now it has weird features and is trying to do too much which has changed performance. Also, DO NOT forget your password. Write it down in your notes. The “forget your password” option does not work as it never sends a reset link to your email within the 60 seconds required before it’s invalid. I never got an email at all and I tried dozens of times. It took me going through and trying all my old passwords until one worked because I didn’t want to register and create a new account. Be warned

  • I actually recommend this product!!!

I absolutely love this product and its app 🤍 I was able to divide my pet’s vet recommended serving into three meals! Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner! And with this app, I can control it straight from my phone while I am at work or visiting friends/relatives. And with the new update, it looks so clean and runs so much smoother! And with the number of recent updates, you can tell that the creators do care about the look of this app and its function. I love the notifications that allow me to know if my feeder is operating correctly and whether or not my cat has been fed. And I love that it lets you know when the feeder is getting low on food. HIGHLY recommend!!!

  • Very impressed

After owning a litter robot and having constant issues and even having to get it replaced. It ran out of warranty. I compared several litter boxes and really liked that petkit has the option to disinfect the litter box after each use. Well the litter box doesn’t smell anymore since changing to petkit. Recently also bought the automatic feeder and eversweet water bowl. It works amazing. The app works great for all the products.

  • Glitches often and delays feeding

Follow the recommendations and instructions to a T with the auto feeder and water fountain. They often delay feeding and have network errors or are slow to respond with a strong and stable connection.
Although they have improved over the years with materials, the electronics seem to remain the same and each product I’ve used is far more expensive than they have any right to be for the quality and lack if consistency.

  • One to Rule them all.

PETKIT has been a joy to use. Both the equipment and the application has been seamless. Tracking each pet is a nice feature and the automation is first rate.

I did a hard review if other all in one solutions from leading companies and PETKIT nailed this. I’m confident they will continue to improve, but I already see them as 100% right now.

  • Works well-enough, but room for improvement

The app works fine if you want to just set it and forget it, which is ideal. But the UI is a bit annoying to navigate, and it doesn’t allow for the flexibility of quick changes, different feeding schedules, etc.

Also, I am having an issue with feeding plans. On one page it shows my feeding plan correctly, but it shows the feeding portions as double on another page. It’s bizarre and makes me worry that I may be feeding my pet too much.

  • Bad notification handling

For Pura X, it’s really a pity that you can turn off notifications for important things, like waste bin full, or litter shortage but you CANNOT turn off irrelevant useless notifications like “periodic odor removal was completed” every 6 hours.
I would definitely like to receive a notification if I need to take an action like when I need to change the waste liner or add more litter, but I don’t wanna get bugged with useless notification that some periodic job was done successfully (what should I do about it?!)

But asking this in support was answered by “there’s no way just turn off all notifications from the system settings) then why have I bought the smart litter box and why do I need the app?!

  • Cat Father!

I have two cats and I feed them around 5:00pm everyday but sometimes I’m home late because of work and having this device, allows me to have peace in mind that my cats will eat if I’m not home. I have the feeder set for 6:00pm everyday. If I get home on time I feed them in person.

I have set my alarm in my phone everyday at 5:50pm to remind me to turn off the food for the cats, this way they don’t get feed twice. You don’t have to do this as you can just feed the cats or dogs from anywhere by using the app and selecting how much food you want them to have.

I decided to set the feeder permanently for 6:00pm everyday in case one day I lose my phone or my phone battery die while I’m away from home. This way know they will have food.

I wish PETKIT would have a bowl that have a divider so when the food is coming from the store it goes into two sections, this way both cats or dogs can eat.

  • Not very user friendly

I feel like this app has a ton of features, but many of them are not excited well, and many are not necessary. For example, I I just want o figure out how to feed my car. I have to mess around with it for a long time to figure out how to change the meal plan, and if I make a mistake, it sends me way back to the Home Screen to start again. Meanwhile, there are like social aspects kr ways they tried to gameify to all that I am definitely never going to use and are just cluttering it up. I doubt anyone is on this app to create posts or be social, so I wish they would focus on making it more useable. Do gods sake, hire a UX designer and listen to them.
