Horribly unreliable
I’ve had this app (and feeder) for a few years and although it’s always been a little bumpy and far from intuitive, it got the job done and I appreciated the peace of mind. Now, their server goes down regularly (just search the brand name on Twitter to see how often people ask for support - it’s not your WiFi, trust me) and when your feeder’s offline, there’s no way to tell if your pet was fed. The products claim to feed your pet either way, but my feeder has absolutely skipped scheduled meals due to server issues.

Convenient but on the fence
If I could give this a 3.5, I would. I’m so on the fence. When this works, it is wonderful! So convenient. We have 2 feeders for our cats. Sometimes we’ll get a message the feeder is low when it’s full. Sometimes we won’t get a message when the food truly is low and almost empty. Sometimes one goes offline for no reason. We do have someone to check in on our cats when we’re on vacation but we don’t want them to have to come over twice a day. A little frustrating.Show lessMember 4000
App not working AT ALL
I have had this app for 4 months now. I Haven’t had any issues with it until this week. I can’t even login to the app! It says “network error” every time I try. My wifi is working perfectly. I have deleted and reinstalled the app numerous times. Reset the device and my router just for good measure, tried creating a new account, and none of these worked. I even had my boyfriend download the app and try to create an account. Again, met with “NETWORK ERROR”. I am so over this. I spent $600 on the purax because of this app! Looks like I’ll be contacting customer service and returning it. This is ridiculous.Show lesshankinskm

Please allow to downgrade the pura max firmware if possible
Please add a Overdrive button on app to Force to Clean overdrive the safety pause.
because sometimes my petkit pura max thought the cat inside but there is no cat inside ( due to I remove the waste container, so the scale weight change), Pura Max stop after a change weight and the machine think the cat using it.
Please fix the weight sensor if possible
Please fix the conversion between lbs and kg. there are some bugs when I try to add a new cat profile and the kg/ lbs is messing up, it thought kg is lbs and lbs is kg.
Overall the machine is good. The dev of app is good. Just some overdrive feature will be need soon to fix the stopping machine after waste container throw away.

Can’t login after update
Constantly getting “network errors” when trying to log in. If I can’t log in to the app then my feeder is completely useless. It kicked me out when I refused to enter my phone number, when the phone number options were only Chinese. Why does an automatic feeder need my phone number anyway? It also did not update to daylight savings time and there is no way to change it. Maybe it’s just the translations that are bad, but they didn’t even attempt to translate the user agreement, it’s just all in Chinese, so who knows what you’re agreeing to.Show lessBambiBurgers
Going downhill
I really enjoyed using this app to check on the behaviour of my cats, but with the most recent update, reliability is terrible. I know that my cats have used it and I get a notification that they have used it but when I open the app, it says zero times used. Guys, you need to look at this and fix it. Design and development efforts focused on the wrong things
The English isn’t localized so it’s hard to understand. For example the app uses open/close instead of on/off. Unclear language combined with poor information architecture and unnecessary features makes for a very confusing experience. It really is almost impossible to use the app. PETKIT should redesign the app from scratch. Priorities should be focused only on creating an app that lets you feed your pet manually and with a schedule and that’s it. A visually beautiful interface is nothing if the architecture isn’t intuitive. The social media features eg. following other’s nearby is extremely invasive and creepy. I bought a feeder to feed my cat. I don’t want others ‘nearby’ to know I even exist. Creating a community surrounding a feeder is huge scope creep. Think about why users would want a community focused on an auto feeder. I mean, maybe if the community was to help me find a lost pet? But still, I would consider that a feature that one would need to choose to opt into. A great app would be based on research to determine what user’s goals are and what they really need to get the job done. Good Product
The littler box works amazing, however the space in which my kitty has to do her business is very small, she is not a large cat but it’s still too small for her to be in, she makes due but I feel it’s too small. Also the opening is so high off the ground, she is getting older and is having a hard time jumping now, and that opening is just too high for older kitties. I did get her the “ramp” she does seem to like that, however now it’s a bit of aHassle to empty the waist bin. Overall I would recommend this productShow lessDaisygin
It suffices for timed feedings
The feeding increments are in 1/5ths which is weird. The app is definitely foreign with weird phrases and incomplete translations. Unfortunately I was in a bind and this was one of the best rated products after Petnet went out of business so I bought it. There are other better products available now.
I have 2 of these and will fill them up at the same time to the same level and one of them always runs out before the other, so I know it’s not measuring an exact 1/5 watch feeding.Show lessTeenkeebelle
Surprisingly Smooth to Use App
I’m a big fan of the mini feeder I have, and the app is great for setting up a feeding plan that’s as complicated or as simple as you’d like. It’s also nice to be able to dispense food remotely, say if you’re on vacation and you notice that your pet has finished up the food in their bowl and you suspect they need a bit more.
The app has a minimalist aesthetic and it is surprisingly easy to navigate. I have low expectations for a lot of the apps associated with Chinese electronics since often the instructions are written so poorly that they’re incomprehensible. This is def. not the case with this app. There are self-explanatory buttons and a pretty intuitive UI. There is still some clunky language in the FAQ/Instruction entries, but I’ve noticed that there are continuous improvements in the text as well as the UI to promote ease of use. It’s quite heartening to see a company actively trying to improve their product.
You can also use the app to set up reminders or walk checklists etc. I only have one cat, so a lot of the bells and whistles in the app remain unexplored… but eh. I’m very happy with the app and the feeder overall. It’s very helpful to know when food is running low, if the desiccant needs replacing, or when the feeder is running on back up power.Show lesssusurin
