Watch out with what you click - might sell your soul and they wouldn’t tell you.
I got the 3 month $50 subscription that according to them, comes with a meal plan. I go to the app and click on the menu part to check out the selection and a window pops up, with a button that says continue, so I click it. Thinking that the meal plan comes with the subscription I already purchased, well much to my surprise, after i clicked continue I was then charged an additional $50 for another “meal plan workbook bundle” whatever that means. Seeing as this isn’t something I wanted, I reached out to see if I could get a refund, since I won’t be using this “workbook bundle” and I still don’t even know what it really does.
Well, according to support, they don’t issue refunds because their records show I clicked the “continue” buttons so that means I wanted it. Mind you I didn’t even realize there was a skip button until they told me. There wasn’t even a second screen to confirm purchase or anything. It’s a scam and they are no help what so ever. $100 for an app that looks like they use AI pictures of the food. Extremely disappointed in this customer service.

Great App and Attentive Team
When I first signed up, I accidentally clicked on the meal plan workbook without realising it, even though I didn’t need that service. When I noticed the extra charge on my card, I contacted the support team straight away. They responded very quickly, were incredibly friendly, and resolved everything without any hassle. Within just two days, I had received a full refund for the accidental charge, which I really appreciated. Great customer service!
As for the app itself, the only reason I’m giving it 4 rather than 5 stars is that it seems to be primarily US-based. Since I’m in the UK, logging calories can take a little more manual work because not all UK products are available in the food database. It would be great if they could expand the product list to include more UK items.
That said, the app has been really helpful in keeping me on track with my goals and making me more mindful of what I’m eating. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Formula Care!
