Unnecessary Updates

I’ve been using the app for years however this new update has made it challenging to want to continue using the app. Some of the daily recipes don’t include all of the ingredients required, the workout programs are a mess to save, and hard to track my daily and weekly progress. It used to be easy to go to the gym and have a workout routine ready for the week (without selecting a program or challenge or the same lower and upper body days) however, now it isn’t as user friendly. The new update took away the simplicity of working out and having a guide to follow. Now it’s difficult to navigate.

The app used to have a simple & user friendly approach, it no longer has that and it has become discouraging to use.
While I recognize that change can be hard, the specific changes in the app have not been beneficial to users. It has eliminated a lot of simple features, doesn’t save your work or progress, and doesn’t allow you to have a choice in what you would like. I used to be able to go through all the meal plans and find whats best for me and now I have to select a plan or program before being able to view the actual weekly recipes and ingredients.
I hope the Sculpt You team takes into account what a lot of long term users have said about the app and make the common and requested changes. Its been unfortunate to read a lot of bad reviews after the app updates and I can relate to several of the issues that users have made.

Longtime user, hate updates

I have used the Sculpt You app for almost 6 years now. It always felt very simple to use. I always felt like I had variety with my workouts because they frequently changed every month and I actually felt challenged in my workouts. Ever since I got the update, I find myself hopping between different programs/workouts trying to create something similar to some of the old ones, and it wastes so much time. All the sections within the app are also very difficult to navigate. You have to click into a bunch of things and then exit out of a bunch in order to even look at the workout sequence.

Also, I do not understand a price increase if I’m given the same programs without any changes. Why would I pay $15 a month when there aren’t any workout changes? I liked that in the old app each month you got a different split/set to work on. Also, in the old app, I felt like the workouts were very straightforward and easy to do .Alot of these new programs need odd equipment, and locations that are not convenient when you’re at the gym or at home. Plus they pretty much eliminated the at home program. I really hope they give old subscribers the option to view the old app. At the very least make updates to make it more user-friendly interface, and bring back workouts that were challenging, and that changed monthly. I might have to cancel my long time subscription as I don’t feel like it’s worth the extra money.

Thank you for being part of Sculpt You for nearly 6 years and for sharing such detailed feedback. 💜 We truly appreciate it and are listening. If you're missing the challenge of some of our previous workouts, we'd love for you to try the Program, You Are the Thruster. It’s been getting wonderful feedback from our community! We hope you'll give it a try, and we'd love to hear what you think at support@thesculptyou.com. 💪

Update is extremely disappointing

Extremely frustrated and disappointed with the update. I’ve been a loyal supporter for the last year, shared this app with so many friends and family and promoted its features. First, when the update happened it cleared all my saved data of workouts/weights. The new update is hit or miss whether or not it’ll save my data. Consistently says I haven’t completed a single workout despite having checked off everything in a day/shows completed under the program. At this point better to write everything down in the notes app. Second, the user navigation is horrible. I’ve used the new update for a month to give myself time to learn it and it continues to jump around/glitch and cause frustration. The prior app had its moments but not to this degree and was way more user friendly. Third, the stretches/mobility don’t make any sense. Every upper body day there’s three versions of openers that I’m unsure what purpose each one has verses the other. Seems like a lazy thing to add at the front for “mobility” when in reality there are SO many movements that will open up your upper body that are missing from the rotations. Overall I’m really disappointed and wish that companies would stop trying to reinvent the wheel and make things “better”. Listen to your fan base. Almost all the comments on Instagram talk about how everyone is so disappointed and upset. Do better.

Long time user now disappointed

For starters the app doesn’t save your information. You go through your workouts adding your weights and for what? It doesn’t save. So you have to guess what your weights were week to week. Which is extremely frustrating. As for the workout programs, they went down hill fast. I use to feel challenged and like I got a great workout in. Now, they kinda suck. I feel like they rushed to create them and every program feels like the exact same thing. If I say I’m working out at home or the gym, I get the same workout. If I say I’m a beginner or advanced, shocker, same workout. The equipment it says you’ll need, a lie. Still waiting to use the lat pull down it says you need in the postpartum program. The workouts she posts on her instagram are nothing like the workouts in the app (that you are paying for). If you are a first time gym user, just purchase a month, screenshot the workouts and then cancel. Because there is no benefit of having it longer than that. The workouts don’t change. If you are someone that has experience working out, go somewhere else. I promise you’ll get a better workout in elsewhere.

Updated app isn’t great

I had been using sculpt you since January and I loved it so much but the update sucks. I have been trying to get used to it for a month now and if I didn’t have the lifetime membership I would be canceling and looking for another app. It’s annoying to navigate, it’s more steps to track your workout, it takes away the joy of working out honestly. And it also seems like they prioritize the gym workouts more in the new app than the home workouts AND it’s not as beginner friendly either. It’s just all so very disappointing honestly.
