New update ruined offers!

I used to go to Del Taco every day but the new rewards are incredibly lacking. It was common to see buy one get one offers that you could actually choose from. Now you have to use one offer at a time it seems and save it for use instead of just using it whenever - Then you get another offer which may or may not be good. Can you please bring back the weekly offers to choose from if nothing else? I don’t want coffee - I want food. It takes a long time to build up points that are worth less than the old offers. I have been a much less frequent customer since this started. I used to recommend to friends the $2 off $5 deal when texted but now that seems broken too. The first time I tried to load an offer to my order it didn’t work, the second time it finally did. I lost all of the previous orders from before which was disappointing because I like to pick and choose and the app still lacks Apple Pay or a better way to pay than manually entering card. The redesign looks fine (dark mode would be nice) and things feel like they run a bit smoother but this isn’t what your customers want. I rarely write such a detailed review but I really enjoy the food, being a frequent customer and this has been extremely disappointing.

Can’t log into new app

Well I guess they changed the app again. I can’t log in anymore. I try to retrieve my password and I enter my info and I get no email to reset my password. I am really disappointed since I have a gift card balance on the old app. There’s no contact information for the app. I guess I can go to a store and get a customer service number but as customer I don’t feel I have to take extra step. If they were to update the app at least transfer all the log in data to the new app. I don’t think I will ever order from them again

Vibrant, poor function

The app is emblematic of what so many companies do now that erodes customer confidence and loyalty. The rewards continue to be watered down, details are overlooked, and most importantly the navigation is poorly thought out. It’s difficult to customize orders. There are too many clicks needed to place an order. Prices are not prominently displayed on the menu items. The app denies breakfast orders when stores serve it all day.

Is the goal of this app to score cool points among a certain demographic? Is it junior employees trying to impress senior management with a new color splash? If the goal is to generate increased sales revenue and customer loyalty this app is working against that. Del Taco would be wise to consider a rebuild of their app with a focus on improving the customer experience, if that’s important to them. 1 star for not putting their customers first.

New Del Yeah Rewards App

The app went from bad to worse which is not what an “upgrade” should be. The food customization is cumbersome and tedious now (too many clicks and not intuitively placed), drink size selection in combo meals no longer exists, breakfast cannot be ordered in the app outside of certain hours even though it is available at our location all day…why ask for a location & then not have location specific information available. Awful! All so they can have a rewards program which has far less (and inferior) rewards compared to the previous app. Shame on the restaurant & developers of the “upgraded” app.

Del app VS doordash…

I’ve ordered del taco countless times mostly pick up. I’ve always used the doordash app maybe because I’m a full time dasher who knows lol. Well I decided to download this app and order the exact same thing I always do with doordash pick up. Long story short this app saved me $6… are you kidding. 5 stars just for that.

Oh and this is part is for paranoid reviewer who perfers Apple Pay… guess what… Apple Pay stores your credit card info too and it’s a lot more likely for someone to get your info from that than this app. Did I just blow your mind?

Love Del Taco but Your App…

I’ve been with Del Taco even before the app was made. The app before worked just fine and I got my rewards here and there with minimal fuss. After this recent update, I can’t even log in anymore. I tried so many times it said my account got locked, so I heeded its recommendation to reset my password since it was saying I was an existing app user. I check my mail. Nothing. If your idea of updating the app was to lock out of us from being able to earn rewards or even order, well, you succeeded. Guess I’m uninstalling till you guys fix this lol.

Typical Dev Fail

So this is yet another app that used to work well, but has been completely trashed by its developers all to “make things better.” Well, you failed. I’ve had an account for years and now when I open the app it tells me I need to change my password. Okay, whatever. So I enter my email, and never receive a password reset email. I’ve done this on multiple days for the last several days. Still no password reset email. So I decided to try to set up a new account. Nope, that user already exists, please sign in. Well, I can’t. So I try to sign in with Apple, okay, but I'm still waiting for the email to change my password. I’be scoured my junk mail, not there.

This app is now totally and completely useless. Way to go app devs! ✋🏼

New app useless for drive-through patrons

Just a note to people if you use the previous apps and prefer a drive-through you cannot redeem any of the offers if your location doesn’t specifically offer drive-through pick up. You have to order ahead on the app to use offers and deals now. The only thing you can do is collect points. I am a 20 year customer and I picked up on the app when they first came out with one. It saved a lot of money but lately due to a lot of quality and accuracy issues with my orders as it is, and my site not offering drive-through ordering for some weird reason but they will allow you to pick it up inside I’m deleting the app for the time being and visiting other places.

They killed the app.

I just downloaded the latest update (v3.0), and I have lost all access to the app.
It told me that as an existing account holder I needed to update my password in order to gain access to the app. I gave it the email address to send password update instructions to. It said it would send an email to with password reset instructions to that account if the email was registered. I waited for that email for an hour. No email.
So I tried logging in with my existing creds.
It gave me an invalid credentials error.
I’ve been getting Del Taco emails at the account I had them send the password reset unfo to, so I know it’s registered.
I even tried registering for a new account using the same email and I was denied because there’s already an account registered with that password. Yup! That would be me!

Anyone else having this issue?
If so, they just locked out all of their account holders at the risk of losing them all to a restaurant with an app that doesn’t leave them locked out.

Warning! Don’t use this app!!

If you want to lose your money then go ahead and use it. When your order never arrives and the driver says he delivered it, good luck on getting your money back!! Stood outside, alone, and next thing I now is the app says my food was delivered. Call the driver to ask where he was, and he said he gave my food to someone saying I told them that if was ok for him to receive. LIES!! This was delivered by DoorDash but doesn’t show in my DoorDash app since it was ordered through the Del Taco app. Still trying to figure out how to get my money back!!
