  • Doesn’t show everything

    I know my local BevMo and familiar with their selection, so when I attempt to search for a specific beer - and it proceeds to show “no products found”, I feel lied to. Either the employees are too lazy to input their inventory into the database, or the app needs more work. In any case, it completely dissatisfies the purpose of convenience of online ordering.

  • Nice redesign, terrible eCommerce

    The new design is really good. But they’ve kept the jenky Payeezy checkout. So you get popped out of the app and into a 1990’s era payment screen to type all your account info each time you place an order.

    A lot of good work’s gone into the new design, so the developers must be really embarrassed that they’re forced to use that for checkout.

    It seems like decision-makers at BevMo either don’t use their own app for purchases (so they don’t realize it’s bad) or don’t use other apps for purchases (so they don’t know how it should be).

    The main point of the app is to make purchases. And until they modernize the actual purchase process, the app is functional but falls short.

  • Poor quality app functioning

    I tried to order something off the app and it kept popping up with an error so I gave up and chose another app to order from, but then all of the sudden I was charged and sent the order that I thought was never processed after already ordering from somewhere else. It’s not cool for an app to tell me something didn’t go through and then all the sudden process it without my direct knowledge. This app kept popping up with all kinds of errors and was slow and I’m upset that it would tell me that my order didn’t go through and then decide to process it an hour later.

  • Can’t create account

    I’d love to give this app a meaningful review, but I can’t creat an online account despite already having a BevMo membership. I get “A communication error occurred. Please validate fields and try again.” All fields check out, nothing empty. This feels like a bug, but if it isn’t then y’all need better UX for sorting out whatever is wrong. Happens on website too, so not in the clear there. SERIOUSLY HAMPERING MY PLANS!!!

    Update: finally able to sign up for an account, only to end up navigating circles around checkout. On the website, navigating to checkout removes everything from cart. The app doesn’t purge my cart, but when I enter my shipping address it decides then (contrary to what it says in numerous places throughout the site/app) that it doesn’t ship to DC. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON WITH YOUR DIGITAL TEAM?!?!

  • Friendly and helpful staff

    I had a slow delivery using the app, but it was related to issues with recent protests and the store having to close early. The staff answered my questions and followed up with a quick delivery.
  • Check out experience

    I love your guys app. It’s easy to find drinks and select a pickup time for to go orders. BUT... for the love of alcohol, please improve your checkout experience. The fact that I have to enter my name, address, credit card, etc. each time is a pain in the you know what. Will change to 5 stars when that happens :) Love y’all!

  • Wow.

    It takes a bit of work to not think this edge-case through, as it’s an obvious one.

    If you go through an order at 12:59, select a pickup time for 2:00-3:00, complete the slow Payzee process—easily one of the worst payment gateways I’ve seen in a while—and are approved, you’ll head back to the app ... which will tell you you’ve selected an invalid pickup time.

    “Oh, we’ve gone over the hour and they need more than an hour to process. No worries. I’ll pick 2:15.”

    Do so ... and then the app tells you the order has been charged already.

    I wonder if Total Wine has these issues? I dunno, but I’m already out $140 at BevMo today and am being told to just charge again and It Will Work This Time, Really (TM), so I may as well go down the road and try my luck there. They’ll maybe even use the payment gateway that BevMo used to use, where I could tell it, “just use my iPhone Wallet,” and it said, “no worries.”

  • Definitely a step backwards

    The recent update that removed Apple Pay has made this app not as user friendly. The shopping party of app is ok. Checkout is poor though. On multiple occasions I pick a time to pick up, enter card info, receive text from credit card that it was charged; only to have app state that I need to pick a new time. The cart is still full, like transaction didn’t happen. Dumb.

  • Errors left and right.

    I ordered via app and had three different cards fail. I finally had to call in and place the order by phone. Funny how it almost forces you to get the app when you’re on the site and then it fails. Pretty frustrating putting in your card’s numbers multiple times only to have them erased after unexplained “errors”.

  • Pickup Times - What’s the point?

    Selected a few 1 hour window and I arrived in that window, only to wait there for 45 minutes. Over and over asked “What’s your name?” and “What’s your order?”, only adding insult to injury each time asked and each time people arriving behind me received their orders before mine. Why even have a window to select if the order isn’t going to be ready or started until after you arrive?
