  • Recording absence issues

    Update… There are multiple reviews with my same issue. Hello UNUM??!!
    The app shuts down whenever I try to view details of my absence history. When I select absence details, it just disappears. Also, no confirmation number provided when you submit your absence. Makes it difficult to show that you actually submitted the absence in a timely manner.

  • Buggy app. Good to send messages though

    Everytime I try to access my leave the app crashes and closes.
  • Less than one if possible

    Not a single thing show up for me. Nothing on the Home Screen, Benefits, or Absences. A blue circle spins at me then a message says oops something went wrong, or I have no benefits that apply to this or I need to creat a new benefit. Of course I don’t I don’t have this problem when I go on the website it’s just less convenient. This app pisses me off every time. I’m deleting it since it’s just taking up space and storage.

  • Unusable

    The app is worthless, wont let you upload on it tried multiple times. Finally had to log on to the website and upload my documents don’t bother emailing customer service as they won’t respond it’s been a week with no reply. If it wasn’t for them being the only provider through my company I would not do business with this sorry excuse of a company! And you get 1 star because zero wasn’t an option.

  • Only for US employees

    Registering an account in this app requires a social security number, so it looks like this app is only for employees based in the US, even though this app is listed in the UK App Store. Perhaps US employees can use this while living or travelling in the UK? Basically this app is useless to me, a member of the Unum Dental plan.

  • Wow!!! Impressive Unum

    I never wrote these but I had to this time. This company is amazing. All the worry about how the bills would be paid Unum didn’t give me and my fiancé time to worry. Paid fast and very very nice warning staff that really seem to care!! Way to go Unum you guys took all the stress away so now we can just focus on getting my fiancé healthy!! Unum you mic dropped on the insurance companies and customer service!!! Thank you!!!

  • Ok to just ADD absence and send information

    It’s ok if you want to just add absence and upload information. But if I want to look at absence history and when I click to view leave it literally pops off and send me to my Home Screen on my phone. What’s more important to me than the app itself is the ADA specialists the lady I had was NEVER, NEVER and I literally mean NEVER available. I had to press “0” to talk to another specialist whom might as well be MY specialist because I talked to her more than I talked to the one I was assigned.

    When I first got the app I was able to do more but after a while it just got horrible. And again, the ADAs and CS need to be more reliable because it was just insane how I could never reach this lady.

  • Can’t add absences

    I haven’t had any problems with the app for the last two years. But since the last update for some reason when I’m going to add an absence the time I add to start is duplicated on the end shift and even tho I change it. It keep giving me an error saying I can’t start and end my shift with the same time.
    The developers should check that.
    I have even tried deleting the app and downloaded it again. But to no use.
    I guess customer service will have to do all the work until this is resolved

  • Not Worth The Time

    I’ve tried numerous times to just login into my Unum account, via the mobile app, and on numerous times I got an error message that my information didn’t match and to try again later. I called Customer Support and a rep said to try again in 24 hours for my information to refresh (this is never the case with any mobile app) I did and I still can’t get into my account using the mobile app. I’ve changed my password and the problem persists. I’ve re-written Unum, about the problems I’ve encountered, and have not been contacted back to find a solution. I suggest, how it is inconvenient and frustrating that Unum offers a mobile app, to just use a computer/phone and their website to conduct your necessary business.

  • Faulty app

    I was able to start my short term disability claim at 3:30 a while at work. It was easy and efficient. However, that is the only good thing about it.

    You cannot effectively contact the company through the app. Messages either are lost or not dealt with by Unum. I can’t tell which. The second time they contacted me, it was by email to tell me they could not communicate sensitive info electronically.
    I work with HIPAA, and that seemed a very poor excuse. Also, why have an app if your employees can’t use it.

    I haven’t been able to upload documents. Also, in accessing any area I’ve privy to, it crashes.

    After my experience with it, I would never use it to process a claim. All expectations and no follow through.
