    Just signed up for the app, hoping it would keep me from having to load frequently the unwieldy website on my laptop. Two tasks attempted (view to-do list, view benefits details), multiple error messages. Shut down, restarted, same issues. Folks incapacitated by illness are this app’s primary users, and it’s not helpful to compound our challenges.

  • Needs work!

    Hi UNUM, I try to use your app every year to submit my Wellness Benefit and since you all don’t have specific options like “mammogram,” I chose “imaging studies.” Instead of CALLING me to CLARIFY what imaging study I had for wellness - you just knee jerk reaction - deny my claim EVERY year. This is ridiculous! Then I have to call and the rep is super nice and says “I can submit that right now.” MAKE THIS APP USEFUL PLEASE! The other big issue is that the only option for uploading a document is “taking a picture” but that is incredibly unhelpful because most of my documents are in my “files” as a PDF. Please give the option to search “files” on the iPad in addition to what you already have (“upload photo”).

  • Worst company ever

    The app is basic and easy enough
    However, the company and their representatives are HORRIBLE they are not educated enough to educate their clients on what needs to be done. They should have a department that handles pregnancy etc. Their reps say heres this look at this , but they themselves don’t know what is required. This is scary to me because we all need money to pay bills and it’s sad that they can’t be more helpful in times where we can use as much as help as we can.

  • Great app!!

    I’ve used my UNUM app for over 4 years & it works amazingly.
    I’m able to scan & upload all my M/R, continued disability forms, submit any questions I have & always get a response.
    I’ve never had an issues & am so thankful for this great service
  • Worst Leave/Disability Coordinator

    I’ve had to deal with unum 2 times for surgery leaves, both times I went into surgery without knowing if my leave was going to be approved. They also totally disregard the patient/customers mental and physical health, approving only what their “matrix” says they should approve instead of listening to the primary (and secondary) physician on the case as well as forcing the individual trying to recover to constantly deal with them. I had Cigna he first time I went out and they only needed to know the last day I worked and the contact info for my doctor. I am a patient advocate in my regular work and I cannot believe how unum treats those that are forced to use its product through their employer.

    I would NEVER recommend unum to any company looking for a disabilities claim manager. They are the actual worst for people to deal with when they are recovering.
