  • Update required

    I’ve not had an issue with this app for work related absences. It’s actually really easy to use. However the two issues I do have are:

    first, trying to upload documents have never worked. Taking a picture before and uploading or using the app to access the camera. No matter what I try I have ALWAYS gotten error messages. So I have to go back to the Dr. Office and have them fax it. Usually more than once because it gets lost.

    Second, and this is a recent issue. I’m getting a screen block that requires an update before I can continue to do what I’m trying to. Sometimes is as I’m signing in, other times it’s in the middle of trying to report something. But there isn’t an update available to the App Store. Your developers might want to look into this.

  • Cannot open app since update

    For a week I have not been able to access the app as it loops between telling me I need to update and the app store which doesn’t have an update, just the option to open the current app. When I called UNUM about this they said they couldn’t do anything about the app and are experiencing higher call volumes as I assume every single person has to call in to report.

  • App saying download new version No new version to download

    Not sure what is going on but everytime I try to go in it’s telling me a new update is needed but when I try to download the update nothing is available it states OPEN. Are you all having some type of glitch? I can’t open the app and it’s no new version to download.
  • Unum app update

    I try to open the app & it keeps telling me to update. When I go to update it says open. When I click on open it’s goes back to saying update. I can’t open it or update it.
  • Set up!!

    This app gives me so many problems! I’ve read the reviews and literally all of them are my exact issues. Reporting absences, reviewing absences, etc. I’ve actually received attendance points for this app’s lack of accuracy. I’ve been employed 7 years no absences and as soon as I have to depend on this “recommended” app, I get point for missed days when I had clearly reported the time through this app! It’s a SET UP! Call the line and talk to a person! The app need major over hall!!

  • Horrible App Upgrade Experience

    I’ve been using the mobile app for over 6 months in 2021 and into 2022 with no problem but recently, am unable to sign on. First it tells you to change your password, but won’t allow me to use the password as it doesn’t recognize it. Then it tells you to update the app. I go to update the app and it brings me to the App Store but when I press get app, it starts the whole update message again. If I go to the website, I’m able to sign in with my new password. I go to the task questions for an extension and complete all the detailed answers and upload my supporting document but there is NO submit button so your info has no where to go! I’ve done this 4 times with the same result! It’s frustrating!

  • Not updating

    When I try to use the app it says I need to update it, when I go to the store it doesn’t have an update button it just has an open button then when I try and open it it says that I need to update it. How can I use this app? In the past app ok, Things are also not getting updated that have been done but that’s all my last two case managers.

  • Horrendous

    As a UX designer myself, it’s appalling how bad this app is. Especially when people are already in a position that they need to take a leave, then they have to deal with this terrible app and company. Getting errors all the time, can’t log in, buggy, lack of clarity in interface, confusing process that differs for each company…. Just really awful. This company would be better off closing shop.

  • What’s the point?

    I used this app to submit some forms. After a few days, I called unum for updates. They told me there has been no progress in extending my claim because I didn’t submit said forms. When I told them I used the app, they said “oh, nobody checked it I guess.” Which added about a week to my wait period.
    I was told this app isn’t connected to their main system. Meaning that employees have to check it individually. So if they don’t remember, your submissions aren’t seen.

  • Worthless

    This app is worthless. I had to file a claim for work for where I needed off for one day due to a death in the family. When I found out I needed to upload documentation I thought… hey just use the app. No matter what I done it kept giving an error message when I tried to upload a pic of documents needed. I finally gave up and done it via the website. Now for 2 days I have been trying to check the status of the claim and all the app does is immediately crash when I try to open it. IF it actually lets the app open as soon as I click the claim to try to see the status it then crashes and just closes. When people are already having a hard time they don’t need this frustration. Read the other reviews before you download this app. This is nothing new. Reviews from 2 years ago say the same thing. I told a rep I spoke with when I called and she didn’t seem to care. Just use the website. Obviously the makers of the app do not care either. If they did they would fix this problem. Don’t even bother downloading it or trying to access on your phone. It won’t work. I will be deleting it when I finish this review. Maybe I can get logged in on a desktop and see what’s going on with my claim. As a last resort you can call but then you sit on hold forever and have to talk to people and I don’t want to do that. FIX YOUR APP! Or delete it from the app store!
