  • The app will not let me put in the color car

    This app has a major problem . I have tried turning my phone off and reboot the app and it still will not let me place an order for carside . This has been like that for over 6 months . I think you need to repair the app . I don’t order much because it’s too hard to use this app . If you want people to order from the app fix it . I tried to order by using inside pickup and it let me go through . This is the last time I will order inside pickup . If you don’t fix the app I will stop ordering from your store . I can order from other places and the apps work great but this one is hard to monover and I placed the same order 6 times and when I try to pay it will not let me because it said I had to put the car color in am so when I put it in it locks up the screen and I have to exit out of the app and it looses my order . This app needs lots of work to make if user friendly .
  • Several problems with app

    I like Applebees but have several problems with the app. Some are because of VPN, but not all. I had trouble logging in, kept getting “cannot be completed, try again later”. Cannot complete profile, same error. I eventually logged in by trying again and again with different VPN connections. Still unable to fill in birthdate and phone number. Cannot find restaurant locations. The app shows my location but not nearby restaurants. Error is can’t find my location. Turning off VPN fixes this, but I’m not going to turn of VPN just for this. I would be happy to give app five stars if it were not for these issues.

    This is an update: I have been checking profile in the app every so often. Most of the time phone number and birth date are empty and I get the error “cannot be completed”. Sometimes one or the other is populated, and rarely both fields are populated. So the data is there, somewhere, but most of the time not communicated to the app.
  • Every Applebees allows different substitutions?

    We order from Applebees via the app once or twice a month. We recently moved 30 minutes from our last home. At the last Applebees, we could request “no croutons” on our salads (have to because of allergy), but at the new place the app doesn’t offer a way to request no croutons. There are other issues with not being able to customize food at one store versus another. After calling the stores in question, they both say the app is a different entity and controls what can be requested at each store - not them. Basically no wants to fix the problem, but it causes us to place the order on the app and then have to follow up with calling he restaurant to request our simple change - and it is a time waste and a frustration. One of the biggest reasons why is because the restaurant is always loud, so it’s always frustrating to try to explain this EVERY TIME and only about half the time is our order correct.

    I already know Applebees does not care about its customers with food allergies or special diets, but this is kind of ridiculous. Just be consistent. It’s a simple request. You allow all kinds of other removals or additions - why not croutons?

    AppleBee's Grill & Bar app is excellent, it allows me to browse the menu and choose delicious food to order at a specific time for curbside pickup, to-go, or delivery! AppleBee's food is high quality, and delicious, and I love how they provide the calories! When dining in there's also a fantastic option to "pay at the table" via the app with a camera to take a picture of the check if you're in a rush! Also the drink menu is amazing! AppleBees's offers an impressive selection of fun drinks and margaritas including a new drink by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson! The signatures drinks available to-go as well are made with top shelf liquor e.g., Patrón, Jose Cuervo, Bacardi, Malibu, Tito's, Captain Morgan, Grand Mariner, 1800, Tanqueray, Cointreau, Smirnoff, as well as some of my favorite wine (Barefoot wine and Sutter Home). New Jersey doesn't allow mixed alcoholic drinks to be delivered to residences, but I can't wait to try all the new drinks in person next time I go to AppleBee's on a date!
  • Dishonest waitress

    Today my husband and went to Applebees for dinner. Our waitress Lea F was trying to add items to our bill. She always seemed as if she was in a rush with our table and not stopping to answer any questions. She got our order wrong a couple of times after I told her I needed dairy free food. When it came time to give us our bill she quickly dropped it at the table and left thinking I was going to pay online. However our bill came out to be almost 25 dollars more than it should have been. We looked over the bill and saw that she added another full item and an extra ala cart salad. On the mobile bill, when I scanned it, i noticed she added two specialty drinks which then made our bill $90 and listed our table as having 3 guests. I don’t like to be deceived like this. I called her over and told her there were errors on our bill. Luckily I also took a picture of the bill she originally left at our table after running off and avoiding us. This bill also showed that she listed our table as having three guests. She knew exactly what she was doing. This was no mistake. I can only imagine how many other ppl she has done this to. I hope management will look into this. I have pictures of the bills for proof.
  • Not for Gift card payment orders

    I wasted time filling out an order on the app and to pay I tediously entered my Gift Card number and PIN THREE TIMES before giving up calling! Only to be told you cannot pay on the app with a Gift card 😡😡.
    Worse, after calling to order for pickup like I wanted, you get a text message saying “ Let's save you some time! To have your Applebee's order ready right as you arrive, click the link below:
    https://pickup…” which only opens up the app again! Plus the text does not say WHEN to click the link, as in when you leave home or when arriving at pickup?
    Please add RED BANNER saying “will not work with gift cards” and “ignore text alert about pickups”.
    PS: the phone message advises ordering on their website, so maybe gift cards will work that way instead, hello mention that too?
  • Not worth the time

    I’ve spent the last 50 minutes trying to place an order for 2 items using the app. The app would be a 5 star based off of looks, but everything I try to do using it fails. I have seen the “The operation could not be completed. Please try again later” pop up more times than I can count. I have excellent signal and I’ve tried with and without WiFi. I just can’t get the app to work. I finally got to the placing the order screen but it will not process the payment. I am at a loss. I would not recommend using the app.
  • App needs work

    Applebee’s is great, but they need to do something about their car side to go feature on their app. If you use it when you arrive at the store you have to call the restaurant by phone, rather than what most places that have a car side system have, which is a feature in the app to let them know you’ve arrived, or are going to arrive soon. It seem like an unnecessary interruption to make a phone call to the hard-working people inside the restaurant. The app itself is pretty functional with some minor issues scattered throughout it.
  • Awful App and Service

    I literally wouldn’t be surprised if they paid for half of these reviews. The app is slow and buggy, there’s no rewards for using it, it is not user friendly and it just looks bad. Not to mention I ordered at 12:13am for 12:40am TODAY (on Saturday at midnight that is) and it placed the order for 12:40am Sunday after literally confirming pickup. I have been trying to get a refund but keep getting a go around and I’m not willing to lose $50 for food I never received. There was not even a way to cancel the order in the app.

    Tammy Hopkins is one of the best servers I have ever seen she always makes sure that our drinks are full at all times and she always comes around and asks if we need anything. Whenever we go to Applebee’s we always asked for her section. We know we will be well taken care of. Thank you for your service Tammy.
