Bait and switch
Zero stars. I’ve purchased eight of these cameras since 2017. I have receipts for all of them. Black view has made it impossible to download videos from the camera to your phone without having a cloud service. I did not agree to those terms on the product. I’m basically being forced to do something now to buy service that I never intended to have. It’s the classic bait and switch. If you’re reading this, return your BlackVue camera and go buy one that will work with your phone so that you can download videos in the event of an emergency or an accident in real time and at the scene.Show lessDhrhdbdbd

Weak updates
Worked fine when I first got it , now so many updates later having to re learn how to get into it each time . Now I can no longer access my camera only the already downloaded useless files ..Dynamo Dan
The worst app and thus camera I’ve ever used
I’ll never buy another BlackVue again. The app is horrible and it automatically sets incredibly stupid settings which you have no control over and in my case made it useless because it just took a Timelapse video without audio instead of an actual video and now I don’t have any evidence that the person dinged my car. Cannot use the app without giving location permission
The purpose of using BlackVue app is to connect to the dashcam easily and get the footages.
But, since an update, the app refuse to work without giving it location permission. If no location permission is granted, the app will close itself, and does not allow users to do anything else.
Why do I need to give out location permission just for connecting to the dashcam locally? Isn't the dashcam already has GPS built in?Show lessconans

The new app is a right pain. I have a 720S 2ch and it worked fine with the old app since the new one came out connecting it is unstable, the camera will randomly disconnect and then won’t reconnect until you power off the cameras and power it back on or delete the app and re instal it. Also paying for the “pro” version of the app is quite cheeky when the cameras themselves aren’t exactly cheap!! If you generally want to attract users to pay for the pro best get the free version working correctly and stable or to me it’s just gona be a wast of money!Show lessAbes3265
I’d leave zero starts if I could
I rarely write reviews but after my experience with this app I felt like I had to, app is dog water it is literally terrible. The main purpose for me installing this app was to be able to download video from my dashcam seamlessly and I can’t even connect to the cam without several pop ups. The cherry on top was after I got through their intrusive pop ups I can’t even connect to my DR-590x thought it is an older model they list as compatible on their app still. Do better Blackvue revert back to what you were good for.Show lessYahoSensei
ITS DEFINITELY NEED NEW UPDATES
It’s not sending and notifications if any impact happens or anything definitely needs new updates paying money but doesn’t work properly what’s the point having 2 sets cameras and 4 battery pack paying nearly £3000 and both doesn’t send any notifications at all wish there are options to put 0 star 😡😡😡Show lesshasan gulfidan

If only I knew what an abortion this app would be I would’ve NEVER purchased this dashcam. A year or so ago this was a good app, they were not focussed on monetising their cloud services and you could access the dashcam remotely sitting in your car. Now it’s so crippled that you are bounced here and there in failing attempts to even connect to it. Once connected there seems to be a missing option to format the card as you cannot delete saved files to clear room. Honestly it is the worst example of money grabbing and I cannot recommend this to even my worst enemy. Blackvue GFY. Black view App
This is a terrible app, disconnects all the time, the WiFi network is so unstable I’m unable to connect my iPhone to the camera, I’d rather log into the cloud and see the images on my laptop or iPad. This app needs a total rebuild, such a letdown for an expensive dashcam 🤬Valleysboy71
