  • The basics are missing

    While the app works, I can’t rate it well when basic things are missing. The plumber is coming back tomorrow to reconnect the shower and one of the body sprays because there’s no way in the app to change their order. Also, I have a 4 port model but only 3 are used. There’s no way to select a black icon for the unused port! I’ll probably choose the bathtub faucet icon since there isn’t one. These are basic features of an app like this that they could easily add and until they do I can’t give a higher rating.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Moen Smart Shower and U by Moen Smart Shower app. The outlet icons can be changed in the U by Moen Smart Shower app, but for the order on the controller screen, outlet A will need to be plumbed to the primary showerhead and then the other outlets will need to be plumbed to remaining shower devices as desired.   • Useless

    I am trying to connect to my u by Moen and the apps states, twice, to hit next to connect regardless of home kit or using the u by Moen app. How can both steps possibly require next? Also their web page gives an option that doesn’t exist. Now the Moen is shining bright in our faces at night because it’s impossible to turn the screen off without using this crappy app. I’ve never written reviews before but this deserves one

  • Works, could be better

    Works for me and support was helpful when I had a device issue they immediately offered to replace. Needs support for AZ time zone, I have to manually change it unfortunately. Have had bugs but they seem to be improving and being less and less of a problem. Being able to customize the background would be a big win as well. I use this with my google home almost every day and it works 99% of the time.

  • Garbage App

    Just purchased shower unit for$$$$ and the app hasn’t been updated in over a year! Operation times out every time when trying to add the device.
  • Bad

    Horrible app. Do better. Make more that can be done without the app. This app is the worst I have ever seen. Wrecks the system and makes it not work. Had to reset several times.
  • App Disconnected Shower now won’t Reconnect.

    Purchased the shower controller and valve about a year and half ago and the app and entire system has worked great until now. It seems there is no option to fix it. It started when we received a new Wi-Fi router. I went into the settings to change the name and password on the app and once that was done, it acted like it was factory reset and now we can not reconnect the app at all. I wouldn’ t complain, we could just turn the shower on and let it heat up using the wall controller like old times, but…….. it only operates about 4 to 5 showers before shutting down. Now every 4 to 5 shower we have to go out in the hall closet where the valve is and unplug the controller from power and wait about 15 seconds before plugging it back in. It will then work for another 4 to 5 showers before repeating the process. The app is broken and freezes when trying to reconnect it won’t let us do anything. Phones aren’t old either. Using this on iPhone 12pro max

  • It was ok originally

    When the product was new the app worked perfectly. But since then it has given me issues and no longer connects to the shower. It has been like this too long. Almost long enough to rip the whole unit out.
  • Issue with shortcut

    When I use the shortcut my phone resets. I would appreciate it if you guys update this application. I purchased the shower for the usability of the application and being able to use it on my iPhone. You guys aren’t following through with your side.
  • Terrible app

    This is the worst app ever! It takes so much to to connect to my WiFi and I have to delete it, reset my control, rename it. And by the way, you can’t delete old settings or names of the controller. But I have to have this app in order to turn on my Shower. I have never had so much trouble using an app

  • Home Kit & WiFi option

    This app is been useful. But as with as all apps and the equipment they interact with, there are always some glitches and you have to do a reset. We had to do this recently and now when we go to pair the controller with the app and setup the WiFi Network connection; it will only give you the option to connect via Home Kit & WiFi. The option to just connect to the Moen Network is completely gone. Even after I deleted the Home Kit app, I get instructed that I have to download the Home Kit app back to my IPhone to continue. The home owner should have a choice and not be forced to use the Home Kit app to be able use the U by Moen app! Now, you can only use the U by Moen app via the Home Kit app! It would be much appreciated if this problem can be fixed quickly. I look forward to your response. Thank you so much!
