  • Will not connect. (updated)

Echoing some other reviewers from this month—the current version of this app has a bug that prevents it from connecting to my Somneo for any longer than a few minutes, if it ever connects at all. My Somneo *is* connected to the same Wi-Fi network my phone is on—I see the Wi-Fi icon on the Somneo’s screen—but the app doesn’t recognize this. I’ve tried hard-resetting the Somneo repeatedly, to no avail.

Update: After upgrading my iPhone, this app finally connects reliably. But my old phone was an iPhone XS, so it’s not like it was outdated or anything. Short of buying a new phone, I’m not sure how to fix this issue for others who may still experience it. (Maybe try a factory reset?) The temperature and humidity graphs are very useful, and I’m a lot happier with my Somneo now.

  • Works... for 24h

Everyday I have to reset my wake up light and setup again the app so I am able to use it. It works for about a day and then it suddenly stops... the app troubleshooter ask for restart and other tactics but nothing really works. I checked the internet and the lamp is connected to the network. I am at the exact same network but apparently the app can’t recognize the lamp... this is really growing on me. The lamp is great but this connectivity is making me question if it is worth the price tag.

  • Did not help me

I downloaded and used this app as part of a trial program. The first exercise was to set a consistent wake up time which I was surprised taught me that habit very quickly. However the bad side is that I had to set my wake up time for my earliest daytime start. So then I was waking up at 6 AM every day yet most of the time I could wake up later. But the training had made me always wake up earlier so I was not happy at all. I was expecting additional exercises to come after that but there were none. So the app has done nothing to help me go to sleep earlier which is what I really wanted. If you want to train yourself to wake up at a consistent time I do recommend this app as it worked very quickly for me to train that behavior. But I see no other benefit to this app

  • App stopped working

I had no issues with the app or light for months. App no longer works. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Reset the light. Tried multiple times to connect the two. Light connects to WiFi easily but app no longer recognizes its connected. Disappointing since I loved using the light up until now.
  • Just a few more things...

This is a reliable app and with just a few more things could be 5 stars. I wish I could add a note for each day to record anything that might have occurred affecting sleep measurements. Things like didn’t put on mask until later; woke up feeling drowsy, etc. Also export ting of data would be useful. Otherwise, it Connects quickly every time does keep track of usage.

  • Useless

Downloaded the app. Set up an account. They sent an email for verification to my email address. I click on it to verify, and it takes me to their site which has a “button” that does not work that says “verify”. Can’t use the app because it insists I must verify my email first. However that is not possible. It is an endless cycle that leads to never being able to using the app. And then deleting it as I am about to do.

  • Too limited

It’s somewhat frustrating not being able to control the clock over the internet, sometimes I go to visit family and I don’t want the power leaks to go off forever just because I forgot to turn it off before I left. I’ll be able to get around this with a vpn, which I’m planning to do anyways to get internet-wise access to pi-hole. I get that it is probably a security concern, but perhaps it could be possible to create an API for the system that can be controlled with Siri, ifttt, etc. I’d like to be able to set an alarm with Siri, turn on/off the radio/aux cable, turn on/off the main light, and turn on sleep tracking. It would be also be great to get Siri to report the ambient conditions around you because it is already collecting that data.
