No access to shared albums continues to be a deal-breaker
August 2023… another update, and still no way to access iCloud Shared Albums. Journi GmbH *really* needs to provide a way to use the standard iOS “photo picker” so we can access photos in shared albums!! (Please?!) When we get together for a group event, everybody puts their favorite photos into a shared album, and those albums are inaccessible with Journi! I know they have their own “shared photos” solution that they think is sufficient, BUT IT’S NOT. (People don’t want to deal with other apps and “special instructions”.) It’s enough of a challenge to get folks to add photos to an iCloud shared album (and that only takes a few taps!) Other apps on the App Store *do* allow access to shared albums, so it’s NOT a technical limitation. There have been lots of updates to the app in the years since I initially mentioned this but it continues to be ignored. 😢Show lessEddyGeez!

Unfortunately we do not get access to shared albums, but you can use our family & friends-photosource instead. When you are in the photo selector, switch the source from "phone" to "friends & family", give them the visible link, where they can then upload their photos and make them available for you.Photo Book
My experience could not have been more positive!! My book arrived damaged I contacted Journi and they immediately informed me of what my options were. I chose a replacement, sent pictures of the damage and they sent a replacement which I received in 2 days

I take so many pictures on holidays and can never be bothered to make a fiddly photo book.
This was SO easy and I loved including the maps, dates and stamps of locations.

Photo books made easy. So far only used it for travel memories for parents and grandparents. It’s stunning. I love the little maps and dots from the geo data of the phone.
One improvement potential would be to choose the languages the maps are in. I’m on Uk phone / app but need everything in German for the family.Show lessQidhenkk

Although this was my first book with this app and done as an experiment to see how good it would come out, will defo use again in the future and have them as hard backs so I can have the title on the spine. Getting things how you want them takes some getting used to but once I got the hang of it, it was good and straight forward. Although there is a review feature, would be could if the production team would contact if they think there’s a potential error with the text. On this occasion there is and it is completely my fault but my phone defaulted up to UK, but in the context UK was written was obvious it was a mistake.

Absolutely Love My Photo Book
I was a bit hesitant after reading a lot of reviews saying it was poor quality etc but I found the app the easiest to use out of many other apps I had downloaded. I liked all the different ways you can edit your book, backgrounds, colours, titles etc. I was surprised how quickly it was delivered and absolutely loved the results. Something I will keep forever.
