  • Horrible App, will not cruise again

    This App is absolutely horrible in every single way. Doesn’t recognize my email after creating an account, then it continuously crashes when you do get logged in. Wouldn’t let us add a payment method until 2 days before the cruise. We sailed with Carnival about 6 months ago and it was amazing. The Virgin Voyages cruise ship is a great ship and the adult only part is great but it’s not worth the horrible app experience. We couldn’t book any shore excursions or things on the ship until a couple days before the cruise. I don’t understand how a cruise line can have such a horrible app with how much money they make. If they fixed the app I would probably make this my number one cruise line.

  • Will it ever improve?

    This app is just awful, supposed to make your experience seamless but results in more stress than necessary on the run up to your holiday and sadly onboard too! Almost everyday had to queue at sailor services to resolve issues. For my next cruise non of my purchased add ons are showing and have been told ‘they will when on board’ which is making me very nervous based on past experiences! Come on Virgin, if your app is essential to your voyages, give it to developers who know how to build an app!

  • What has happened to Virgin UX?

    I booked a virgin cruise partly because of last experience with virgin flights. Great user experience from first booking to onboard the flights, with top notch service.

    Fast forward to this app. It’s shockingly bad. I’ve been trying to book dinners for the past hours and have had 17 ‘oops, we’ve experienced a problem’ messages. Can’t enter my credit card details. Can’t add my emergency contact.

    I can only hope the cruise experience itself isn’t this awful. I expect more from this company.

  • Doesn’t work

    So much of a smooth sailing experience revolves around using this app, so when it’s not working, it’s really a good time killer. I wasn’t able to book dining, excursions, on-ship activities, order room service, contact hospitality services, etc. Very disappointed. I waited in line to speak with someone in IT. The agent told me to wait half an hour because servers were overwhelmed and needed to be reset. Here’s a brilliant idea: engineer your servers to accommodate 110% of the people ever expected to use the service. After waiting the suggested 30 min, then another 30, I still wasn’t able to use the app. I won’t be sailing Virgin ever again.

  • Horrendous app - constantly falls over - can’t book any trips for my cruise

    At first glance the app looks good. However, when you actually try to use it it is useless.
    We’ve tried to view and book on the various trips for our cruise in May but every time it’s fallen over - not been able to book anything yet. It’s such a simple thing but so frustrating.
    Additionally- the linking of the cruise party to the booking doesn’t work properly. The app thinks I’m my wife and has my photo attached to her profile - again what should be simple is made frustrating and complex.
    Would recommend virgin voyages replace their app vendor if they want to get people rebooking cruises with them!

  • Very slow with terrible UX

    This app is meant to be used to book restaurants and excursions, and plan for events. It's a terrible experience since it's extremely slow and the design decisions and interactions don't make sense.

    This app is a bigger pain to use when you're trying to book for larger groups. Usually people travel as groups in cruises no?

    I recommend investing in engineering and design so this app isn't a horrible experience.

  • AWFUL

    This app makes you want to throw your phone into the ocean or cancel your cruise before you’ve even begun!!!! Let’s book rockstar and get early access to dining!!! Oh wait you won’t be able to book anything as it NEVER WORKS! Also I logged on today and there was someone else’s name on my profile , their passport , email, credit card info! So yeah data isn’t secure either! Just delete the whole app!!! Work it out and make it actually function! If I could give it 0 stars as warning I would

  • Buggy

    The company would be smart to hire new developers and build a fresh app and system. Then when that finish they should fire the whole staff that made this buggy junk.
    Leaving the ship causes the app to unauthenticate. Using a VPN causes the app to unauthenticate. Reunauthenticating is broken if you use faceID. You will have to reinstall the app. Sometimes apple ID login takes you to “board with ship info”. Broken. The menu layout is confusing. You have to click through multiple buttons to book something sometimes. You can’t view all the time slots the restaurants have reservations available. You have to select the time you want then see if it’s available (stupid design). The descriptions are too silly and “lol random” attitude. There is no ship map in the app.
