  • Absolutely Atrocious

    Hands down the worst app I have ever used. Slow, glitchy, hard to navigate, lacks details and important features. Trying to get anything done with this app is like trying to peel carrots without fingers. This is a bad first impression for your Virgin Voyage. For a company like Virgin to have an app that appears to be designed by a potato, they should be embarrassed. I certainly hope the cruise experience is better than the app process.

  • App is absolute garbage

    I am booked to go on my first Virgin Voyage next month but my experience with the app is making me question why I’m doing it. Everything about the cruise experience is managed through the app and yet only one of my Shore Things is showing up. Many repeated calls to customer support have not yielded results. I am frustrated beyond belief. This was supposed to be an amazing experience, which I’m paying a lot of money for— and thus far, the experience has been a nightmare. Richard Branson, why haven’t you invested resources in the app when it’s completely vital to the cruise experience? Ugh.

  • Hope the voyage is better than the app

    We supposedly received early access to bookings through our travel agent but this has not happened despite repeated very long calls by our agent and me and promises from Virgin customer service. So frustrating! And needlessly time-consuming. You would think it would be more cost effective to fix glitches in the app than use humans to take repeated half hour calls from frustrated would-be “sailors.”

  • Getting better

    I traveled for a second time this week with virgin and was in a suite. The staff said there were still bugs and we didn’t have as many this time. Last cruise in May the app was unusable. This time is worked much better with the exception of the message portion and ship eats. I’m travelling again in 4 weeks and hope it gets better again. Happy to provide more feedback again. Virgin are great and highly recommended

  • Wasted space of nothing

    The app is clumsy to use. And when you try to use it there is little to no useful information . Onboard you’ll discover its even more useless. With 16 decks you’d think that have a user friendly app for at least directions…guess again. And on the ship is even more confusing, much useless general knowledge. The restaurant info on the app is contradictory from reality. Sir Richard should invest some money technology better than this app.

  • It’s pretty but performs poorly

    I gave 2 stars instead of one because the design is decent but the functionality is terrible. Slow to connect, issues resetting password, issues recognizing my room number, wallet shows up sometimes and then disappears other times saying it’s connected to someone else’s account. Not reliable and overall frustrating, which is a shame because it has so much potential.

  • Broken

    It wouldn’t be that annoying if it wasn’t a necessary part of the cruise. Very buggy: notifications were broken for the first 2 days and then all came in at once, doesn’t work off the boat (just a blank screen), booked events not appearing on my agenda, messages not going through. Luckily the free Wi-Fi is plenty fast for iMessage, WhatsApp, signal, etc, and I highly recommend using a different app to keep in touch with your friends and family.

  • sO sOoO gLiTcHy!!!!!

    Been having nothing but problems with this app with just a week out from sailing.
    Multiple problems across all areas of the app; impossible to add another sailor to her reservation- have been on the phone with customer service and reservations but still no help. I will say that the cust service reps have been next to useless and told us things that were not true as we found out when speaking with the IT team when trying to fix the issues. Restaurant reservations mysteriously vanished for 3 people leaving only ONE of us on every reservation and cust service unable to change the reservation BACK because the restaurant is full. Unable to book excursions and have to call Virgin AGAIN to do that. Credit card error messages popping up randomly. A real cluster to use.

  • Not production ready

    Boarded yesterday, would have been nice if the app knew I was at the port at my embarkation time and I would need my cabin number. No such luck.
    Later that afternoon, on the ship WiFi the app had the situational awareness to prompt me to watch the safety video but it could not show the safety video. Oh well.
    Trying to check out Razzle Dazzle restaurant on the app would crash the app. The app would prompt me to send a failure report w state information about the app to explain to the developer why it crashed so they can fix the bug. Then the app is supposed to close so you can start it fresh. Even that didn’t work so it should not be out of alpha testing.
    I installed the app about a month ago. My wife installed the app last week. Friends suggest we delete and reinstall.

  • Can’t paste a password????

    Seriously, when you try to be security conscious, one piece of that is having a unique password per app/website. Many people use a password manager to accomplish this, like myself. This app is not recognized by iOS as using a password, so you don’t get the prompt to auto fill. Even worse, you CANNOT paste into the password field when you are trying to login. How is that acceptable??? It’s hard to even rate the app otherwise because this is so beyond bad. Fix this
