  • Still a Great App but...

I have been a SplashID user for well over 15 years and it is still my goto for identification security. I have had minimal issues in recent years and all have been resolved via eMail with the developers and support team. I do have an issue with the app on my iOS devices. Whenever I open the app to get key information then navigate away to use that info and come back to get some additional info the app closes and forces me to log back in. This is very annoying when it happens. I really wish it would honor a reasonable timeout such as 5minutes or at least allow faceID or biometricID to log back in if done within a longer time window.

  • What happened?

I have had this app for many years. It has always worked seemingly well. I have it on my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook. Syncing never seem to be a problem and my passwords were never lost. Just recently, maybe two weeks ago, I did the upgrade. Since then, every time I go to sync between my MacBook and my iPhone or iPad, the MacBook version crashes. I contacted support in after going back-and-forth a few times, I felt like they gave me steps that would fix the problem. I did the steps, and it was able to sync a handful of times as I got my passwords back in order. But later that night, I went to sync again and the crashing started again. This app is now useless to me if I can’t sync. What did you guys do? I’ve been with you for years (maybe 10???) and have never seen anything like this.

  • Incredible App

Love the app but one update you must consider is allowing more attachments. One is way to little.
  • Long Time User

I’ve been using this app for years. I’m a lifetime member, which was offered briefly and those who didn’t jump on it I’m sure regret it.

There have been problems with updates via my Mac. But if I’m patient it all gets worked out. Sometimes they don’t respond immediately because I don’t think they have people in other countries helping out. It’s just their crew. Same people for years. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I cannot talk to a live person. I wish that would change.

But I’m not going anywhere as long as I can keep syncing between my computer and phone. Does the job!

  • Disaster after password change

Having used this software for 10 years due to a breach at another site which shared a similar password I changed the password.

I wrote down what I keyed in. I added a hint to what I had keyed in.

But whatever password the system received it was not what I had keyed.

There is no password reset option. The only option is to start again.

To be clear, I initiated the password change and I clearly did not do as I had intended. But the consequence is I have lost every password.

    Gutted.

  • Splash did not honor my purchase of this app

I was a longtime user of Splash ID and in fact had it on a palm pilot! When I got the iOS version I willingly paid for it. Splash has since switched to a subscription based service. This I did not sign up for. I prefer to pay once and know what I am getting. I would not have gotten the original app if I knew they were switching their business model. I was happy with the app I purchased (although I feel better apps are now available since Sid is dated). What annoys me is that splash no longer functions for me and I was unable to recover passwords when I got a new iPad. Bottom line. I paid for an app and it was stolen by the company I paid money to. Splash should honor purchases.

  • Mac, iPad, iPhone user

I’ve been using this app for a long time. There are things that bug me but It has been reliable and does what I need it to do. It is flexible enough to keep track of alllllllll the ridiculous security questions and password configurations I must now keep track of.
I do recommend exporting the passwords to a csv file every now and again in addition to the backup they have. I don’t use the cloud version so everything is only on my devices. I have been burned by iCloud (many times) so I have trouble trusting really important data to cloud management.

  • Does exactly what it's supposed to - perfectly

I've been a SplashID user since my Palm Pilot days. And the iOS version continues to bring the reliability and ease of use. I got the lifetime license and love being able to access at work or at home or on the go easily. The only big thing on the wish list would be a direct integration into iOS to use in apps. Others like 1Password have had this for a while. Otherwise, quite happy with the TouchId/FaceID integration making it so easy to use.

  • Great App

I have been using this for many years. I started using it with my Palm Pilot and I continue with it till now. For the most part, I have had very little problems. It is my go to app. I use there backup and the windows version.

All there have been few problems there was a major problem over 5 years ago that still haunts me which is why I only gave it get 4 stars.

The story happened when as I went to use the backup over 5 years ago as a problem happened with the version on my devise became bad. I found all of backup data was corrupted and customer service refused to help or take responsibility for the problem. I lost most everything. Luckily I had a very old copy on my computer that I had from before it went to the web. It took a long time to fix all of the data.

  • Downward decline

I have used SplashID for years and even purchased a lifetime membership. It used to be a wonderful, go-to app. It has deteriorated significantly.

The app crashes when trying to enter information. It sends multiple messages that the entry has not been saved, but the entry in reality has not even been completed and entered. Labeling for the items within a record scramble themselves when the app is closed and then reopened. And the iPad version just plain doesn’t work. This situation is considerably worse since iOS 13 and although I have updated continually, it has NOT improved the situation. SplashID remains awful with no support or suggestion that fixes are coming.
