  • Do not update - please fix

I love the camera and it definitely came in handing when needed. The app has its cons but I was willing to deal with it as long as the core functionalities were working. Now the app isn’t connecting to the camera via wifi nor cloud. Possible this is some easy fix maybe I have to troubleshoot it. However, I had a situation that could’ve easily be answer with the camera. Now I gotta find time to try to fix it which I would’ve taken if I knew it wasn’t working.

  • DR900X-2CH Plus

App isn’t THAT bad… don’t understand all these horrible reviews. i’m sure most of these issues are user-error related.

UI is, for the most part, fine. constantly getting wi-fi (use without internet/keep trying wifi) prompts on my iphone, but my drone does the same thing when connected via wi-fi. think it’s just a phone software annoyance that comes with this sort of connection. your phone expects internet when connected via wi-fi, and when it doesn’t see actual internet, it thinks something is wrong, when in fact there isn’t.

wish there were a few more options to customize clip length and whatnot, but for the most part this app works perfectly for what most people need.

  • great dashcam

ok my dashcam is an older model (discontinued) but it has given me a number of years great service, infact i was delighted with but i always had problems with the app, connecting to cloud, downloading video if needed and connecting my phone directly and monitoring whats going on in the back seats (Lyft driver), then it started being a pain shutting down and restarting every 10 mins calked customer support was told memory cardcwas busted, bought another 3rd party card (scandisk) 128g this card didnt help and i was then told that these cameras dontnlike scandisk cards and i should get a samsung one, i have and its working better but not perfect still restarts but now i have a new error msg “unable to change view” then a blue tab apoears u tap on that and it goes to the front camera and then shuts down.
i cannot seem to get any help on this so i guess time to sling this one in the trash and buy another but it wont be a blackvue as i feel all you people want isvyo sell another dashcam i’ll probably go for the alpine dual camera setup hearing great reports on it

  • Misleading product info

First of all when you advertise your product as “built in 4G LTE” the consumer takes that as a built in cloud system.. NOT an additional $130+ to buy a cloud system to hook up to your camera. Second, your micro SD cards are marked up like crazy… a 256 gb micro SD should not cost $183.. y’all purposefully ensure other SD cards fail in your dash cam so you can profit off your over priced items.. this would be fine if you had quality customer service and your product works as advertise but it doesn’t. Lastly, this is hands down the worst app I have ever used. It feels like NO effort is made to ensure 100% customer satisfaction. Your company won’t last long if y’all don’t improve. Reviews will be going to everywhere as well.

  • Keeps crashing when downloading a video from cam

I tried many times to download a video by connecting to cam’s WiFi but keeps crashing no matter the download method I choose.

UPDATE: After restarting both the phone and the camera, I was able to transfer videos. Hoping it won’t keep happening.
  • I was about to drop 1000

I had the 3ch, 256gb card, LTE module, and warranty in my cart and was ready to pull the trigger after being sold a defective owlcam and then providing horrible customer service refusing to send me a new one without me first sending this defective unit I just received back and then sending a replacement out after they receive the defective one, in my dime of-course and not giving me the first responder discount they started advertising days after I bought it. So after being so frustrated with them I looked up this camera and was very pleased with the specs and quality only to be let down when downloading the app and seeing all of the negative reviews on the app, Wi-Fi, LTE, CarPlay, & support issues. That’s the kind of thing that I’m trying to stay away from. I just want a simple LTE camera that is easy to connect to and download video when needed. Very disappointed as I was excited for this one.. the search continues. :(

  • Good camera. App is a nightmare!!!

The cameras are nice. I bought the 3 Chanel 750 (almost 500 dollars) and the lte module (another 150) based on what’s included and the good resolution. What I didn’t know and should have checked before was just how poor the app works. It took me about an hour to set up and every time I try to use it to review footage or check the live view I have some kind of connection issue and it is very slow to load. They claim they have been improving and fixing bugs but it seems they have a lot more to fix. If you’re gonna spend more thank a couple hundred on a camera do yourself a favor and research their supporting app before you do.

  • One of the worst apps I’ve used

App provides no feedback when there are issues. I was trying to set up the cloud connection. I tried to connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot, and it never seemed like it actually connected to the cloud. I could see it show up on the network, but that was about the extent of it. Never indicated it was connected in cloud. That seemed to be the case because if I then went to cloud, it’d say no camera connected. Try connecting again, says might take some time. Tried using the LTE connectivity module. First, when doing that, it doesn’t seem to repot it’s own IMEI in the app. So no idea what that’s about. It SEEMED to accept the settings, but then back into the same spot as Wi-Fi where it never seems to actually connect. Frying to get into settings when connected to Wi-Fi routinely says another user is connected. No, it’s just me. How did this make it out of alpha testing? It definitely didn’t have any beta testing. Should’ve gone for a cheaper camera

  • the Blackvue app is horrible

Many have said the same thing.
    The camera itself is great..
the quality is way better than most…
but when it comes to being able to view the videos good luck
With that.. you CAN NOT LOAD the app and expect to see any clips/videos until you are back at home near a Wi-Fi connection and on top of that if you use CarPlay you will NOT be able to load the cloud or Wi-Fi from your cellphone. I read a clip somewhere that someone got o to an accident and tried to show the police officer on the scene what really happened and due to the fact this ridiculous app didn’t load he and the other driver had to wait till there court dates to show the clip of what actually happened..
If it wasn’t because I took over a month to have it installed and learned how to use it I would have sent it back…
Ohh and to add even more.. good luck if you have Verizon as your network and you shell out the extra $200 for the data card reader not knowing that the data card reader that won’t load half the time.

    Anyway I’ll end it with
For this $500 camera and $200 card reader it’s not worth it unless you just want a quality camera and are okay with taking out the SIM card after an accident or if someone breaks into your car and load it into a laptop that you’ll have to have with you at a moments notice.

    Good luck

  • Amazing camera app could use polishing

The 900 plus dual channel is an outstanding camera. The app as a whole works well, it signs you out or gives a multiple login warning and logs out most days, but after signing in again it is usable. When connecting via cloud or Wi-Fi hotspot the app works great and downloads are quick. It would be nice to have it keep you logged in more consistently and to be able to share or save videos to your phone in bulk rather than one at a time.
