  • Not any better than just using the website

This app appears to just embed a web browser of Safeco's mobile-friendly website. Aside from being able to use TouchID/FaceID to login, I don't think this app provides any functionality you couldn't get using the web browser on your phone. And the app is old enough it doesn't use the full screen dimensions on a modern iohobe, so the web browser actually works a little better.
  • Contact info

I was told by a claims rep on the phone that no phone number was present for my account when he looked it up by the policy number but that I could update that by going to the web page or the app. When I looked for the place to do that under Personal Info, or Contact Info, or whatever the wording was, the only item that could be changed was my email address, no place for phone contacts at all.
  • When it works, it’s helpful

It is not a bad app when I can get it to load. Often when I am on the opening page and click on “Make a Payment” it goes tot he loading screen and then back to the opening page. Same with the “Manage policies.”

I remove the app and download it again, which sometimes that works and other times, right now, doesn’t. I have sent an email to their mobile support last week and have not received a reply.
  • Need improving!

Needs a lot of work, I can’t see how much every car I have separated total is. I would love to be able to see how much I pay for each individual car. Also when I check the summary it takes me to a blank page and then I have to reset the app to get back on to the home screen. Please fix the app I love using it just needs some work.
  • Terrible -they’re not ready

Terrible. They’re not ready to roll the app out, but they’re advertising it. First they’re letter doesn’t help you determine which app it is when you search the apps to download. Second, when you finally figure it out and get logged in your account your account information is not complete. You get some type of error message that your policy is not ready or available to view. Third, of the little information that’s there you cannot update some of it online. If you try to do so the app refers you to call your agent. What’s the point. I guess I’ll go on my app so it can tell me to call my agent. wow! They sure impressed me today.
  • App needs some TLC!

Seems like the developers or Safeco forgot they have an app. The app hasn’t been updated to support iPhone X much less the XS and XS Max. Like other reviewers I cannot view my insurance card. I mean at a minimum the app should do that even it not full screen. Poor experience with the app and I hope that does not translate into a poor experience all around. My agent says they are a really good company. And Liberty Mutual is the parent so as long as I get great service and coverage then that’s more important but if I have to rate this app I’m finding it hard to even give it one star. Maybe half star is more realistic. I see no benefit in having this app take up valuable memory space on my phone.
  • Disappointed in the functionality

This ‘app’ is nothing more than their website running in a iframe. It’s incredibly hard to navigate, and doesn’t take advantage of any platform features to make using it on a phone easier.

For instance, there’s no way to save your is cards to your wallet, or even to the photo library. And the if card view is actually a pdf file, which is challenging to read/use on a phone.
  • Poor design and poor execution on IOS

The logon screen would benefit from loading the email entry keyboard. After logging on, the opening is screen patently uninteresting and badly in need of an actual graphic designer. I suspected there might be trouble when I saw that the app only functions in portrait mode. I selected the view ID cards button and got to a screen with no ID cards. Looked around and saw a button that says ‘I’d like to...’. Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t I already tell you what I want do just a few seconds ago??? So I’m in for a penny, in for a pound, I tap on it. Three layers in and still no cards. But there is a link to a pdf that says view/print. I’m thinking I finally arrived so I tap on it.I am directed to what looks like a home grown display of a two page document that is my cards. But it’s like a bad practical joke because this display has no user interface except fore a “done” link. What is most glaringly missing is any facility at all to print the document. So somebody tell me, why did I download this app. I am newly switched to Safeco and I am already questioning that decision. Maybe they keep their premiums low by skimping on the web development staff. Makes me wonder where else they skimp... well off to my laptop browser to see if the website is any better.
  • Can’t print, can’t save, can’t can’t can’t

You can’t print a copy of your insurance documents (such as ID card) from the app. For that matter, you can’t even “share” it to your email to print them, save them to Files (iCloud Drive), Dropbox or anywhere else so you can access them another way to print. You can’t do much of anything with your insurance documents except enjoy looking at them.
  • No fingerprint support; doesn’t remember password

Imagine this, I’m in an accident, want to use this app, which I haven’t logged into in ages... just emailed I want the app the most, I’ve forgotten my password... I’m trying to talk to people, the app won’t work, gotta call people... or I want to check my policy... or... but the app doesn’t remember my password.

The way banks handle this is they let you create a read/only account, and/or use iPhone’s fingerprint reader. No risk to anyone, and now I don’t have to remember a password. Now I *use* the app. I create aggressive passwords that protect me. The only risk is when phone is lost or stolen... but with 10 tried wrong passwords, phone erases itself or I can remotely erase manually, if my phone was stolen.

Alternatively, you’ve incentivized me to pick weak, easy to remember passwords in order to use your app, which means I don’t use the app.

Every major bank has a solution to this. You should also.
