  • App doesn’t work…7 weeks and counting

    I’m on week 7 of the byte program and the app has yet to work for me. I’ve emailed customer service numerous times and they basically tell me to log out and install the app again…like I haven’t tried that. No one can figure it out or really seems to care. Very frustrating considering how much I paid for the program. I love the “once you have your aligners check back here” message I’ve gotten for 7 weeks. Thanks byte!

  • Pretty mediocre

    First, the app. It doesn’t really work. It does not connect to the mouthpiece. Doesn’t connect via Bluetooth. Also, it does not provide updates in terms of checking in and providing progress reports and photo’s. So if you check the app you will not be aware of requested progress reports. Additionally, after you check the online portal, it indicates that you need to use your phone to take pictures. Online but not through the app. It asks to take pictures and then upload the pics. Except when you try to upload the photos the website has trouble accepting them, so you have to take more photos, which don’t get accepted.

    I initially was on a 15 week plan and after that time they would reevaluate and provide the last 9-10 weeks of aligners. It took them 10 WEEKS to reevaluate and provide the last 10 weeks of aligners.

    Finally, I advised them multiple times that the way the alignment was going two teeth were in conflict. I am within 2 weeks of finishing and those two teeth are still in conflict. That is going to be a problem.

    The teeth are better aligned but not close to what appeared in the initial 3D representation at the beginning of the process. I’m glad I went through it but it left a lot to be desired.

  • Sets me up for success!

    The whole byte experience has been fun! All the little touches and packaging are enjoyable. Really makes the experience. I like that they have an app to help track progress, I feel like that really sets me up for success. The Hyperbyte tracker is excellent!!
    One thing I noticed right away and would like added is an hour tracker to help me keep track of how long I am wearing my aligners. It would just make me feel better to see a quantifiable number rather than me guessing times.
    I did have some issues with taking pictures for the “Check-in.” I couldn’t focus my camera because that option was taken away with the “touch to take a picture feature.” It also took away the flash, so I fumbled with a flashlight, tying to take a pic, and it felt as difficult as twister.
    Other than that, I like the app, I like that it’s simple, easy to use, and everything is visible to me right away, I don’t have to go hunting for information. Looking forward to the rest of the process!

  • Terrible

    Slow, pages don’t load, it freezes constantly. Can only take photos on front camera and half the time the app crashes halfway through submitting images. Not ideal
  • Only works for new customers

    This app only works for new customers. If you are an existing customer that has been waiting for an app release you’ll be disappointed. The app forces you to put in what week you are on even if you have already completed treatment so you can’t even get into the app to look at history or order retainers or anything like that because you can’t get past the first set up acting like you’re in the middle of your treatment. They really needed the app but they have missed the mark I need to go back and take another look to make this better.

  • This review is only for the App

    I have had my aligners for 6 weeks now and have yet to get the app to work properly. Every time I log in, it only gives me the option to go to the online portal. I don’t know why this is. I have deleted the app, re-installed the app, shut my phone off and turned it back on, updated the app and still, all I have is the online portal/website. I haven’t been able to check in after the initial check in and have been in contact with customer service. No one seems to know why it is stuck in website mode. My hyperbyte won’t connect via Bluetooth, even though I’ve given it permission. I’m super frustrated. Also, trying to get my $100 referral is like having to jump through hoops to get that too. You can’t talk to anyone on the phone unless you email them several times, then finally you get a phone call. Thankfully my referring agent has been helping me as best as she can. I just want my app to work. I love the product itself. I give it 5 stars!!

  • Great but missing a retainer feature

    This app has come a long way! I appreciate all the feedback the Byte developers have taken in order to make the app better and easier to use. The only thing is that I’m on my retainers now and the app just keeps pushing my check in and plan dates out? I wish it’d switch to a retainer plan or something so I can know when I need to switch or if I have any retainer problems/questions

  • Byte App Issues

    I love Byte aligners so my problem is not with them.

    It’s the app.

    I’ve deleted, and downloaded the app multiple times because it keeps showing its “loading” ( the little 6 line circle or whatever it is). I thought if the app got deleted it would help, but once I downloaded it again, the first thing when I opened it was the loading circle. Super frustrating when you’re enjoying using the app to track your progress.

  • Horrible app

    I have not been able to have access to this app. I log in and all it tells me is to go to the website because they can’t find my plan. I have contacted support numerous times and they always repeat to me the same steps for me to complete, which I do, but yet the app still doesn’t work and I have let Byte know but the customer support is awful. The phone lines are no longer receiving any calls and just direct you to go to the website, which you fill out a form and then wait weeks for them to reply. Also, they no longer allow video meetings with clinicians, so you can’t find the link to request an appointment anymore. Seems like this company is going from bad to worse every time. I have also had my aligners remade a total of 6 times because they always end up giving me air gaps, then I have to wait over a month for new ones and it just delays my treatment. My treatment was supposed to be 5 months and I am now in month 20!
