  • Great platform and fantastic app

    Enjoy using the HomeExchange platform in the app is terrific serves most all needs.
  • Great app

    Great app, always find what we need and organise a trip. Like that site has financial guaranties in case if something happens to your property.
    Just one technical thing that I don’t like about the app is that if I’ve contacted previously the host and later on if I try to contact again the same host would be beneficial to see previous conversation, when was it and what about.

  • Great way to visit some terrific places!

    Homes available on this app are perfect, even if too large or too many bedrooms for a single traveler, forces me to invite friends :). Nice to be at a home instead of a hotel where you can’t walk or bicycle to a local market for fresh fish or meat or produce, then take you wonderful selections home to cook up a nice meal all the while relaxing in a spacious country home with owners connecting you to their favorite spots or neighbors nearby to visit. So very comfortable and casual with everything so easy!

  • Handy!

    This app is handy. Especially for chatting with exchange partners. Not as fully functional as the website.

    Bonjour,

    Nous vivons une période inquiétante partout dans le monde et les échanges de maisons, si appréciées, sont impossibles pour plusieurs mois depuis décembre 2019.
    Nous savons que c’est temporaire mais malheureusement nous ne pouvons rien finaliser avant que la situation soit sécuritaire.
    Aucun pays n’est épargné donc aucun échange ne peut être envisagé d’ici plusieurs semaines ou mois.
    Nous avons dû annuler notre réservation à Nice fin mars avant de la finaliser et refuser 3 demandes d’échanges pour l’été. Tous vos membres vivent la même problématique.
    Nous sommes quelques amis membres d’HomeExchange et souhaiterions que vous offriez une prolongation de plusieurs mois ou d’un an de nos abonnements.
    C’est une situation exceptionnelle qui mérite une solution exceptionnelle.

    Merci d’analyser notre demande et d’aider vos milliers de membres en règle à vivre cette situation qui nous empêche de vivre durant notre abonnement 2020 des échanges souhaités ou annulés.

  • Love the HomeExchange app

    This service has transformed how we holiday. We go to more places, experience living in different locations and meet the most kind, wonderful people. HomeExchange is the best thing since sliced bread - as said by a Yorkshire lass!
  • When you're on the road u need a reliable app...

    All travellers rely on mobile apps to manage all their multiple crucial details. This app is abysmal compared to dozens of others I use for travel. Absolute bottom of the barrel.
    (Guys, It's like you're designing for 1999. The demographic for home exchange are mostly old baby boomers... Intuitive UX will be the key to retaining members. Everyone is complaining. Please hire some real UX people with actual experience!! And synch up with the equally poorly designed but generally working website. The app navigation and Web are often different. Either way it makes for such a frustrating user experience.)
    Navigation is terrible. Franglais is also a consistent problem throughout the app. Programming leads to app crashes 40% of the time.
    EG. Today trying to message a few favorited places and make new connections (isn't that the whole point of home exchange?) and for hours on end the app crashes as soon as you hit the MESSAGE button. Useless!! So many hours wasted.

    This is a great app & executed concept but I did have a problem with a crazy guest and I could not call home exchange. They do not provide a customer hotline even for paying home owners.

    I would say that is a real flaw in the business plan. Upgraded users have to go though a really really long email process to sort out issues for me it took 3 months to sort out a very black and white issue.

  • Great ways to explore and even make friends

    At the beginning of little bit sceptical about this platform, but it is great. Absolutely fantastic!
  • Great concept being let down by App

    Joined home exchange last year, love the concept and guest points idea. BUT the app needs work. From major problems like looping on my iPad to not saving my half completed message while I check other details on other pages of the app or other apps on my device.
    Works well on my iPhone 6S, though small niggly problems and could have much better features to help with managing messages and exchange bookings.

    Hi Cathy, first of all thank you for taking the time to write this comment. We are pleased to tell you that the version 3.0.0 of the app now supports the landscape mode for iPad. We worked hard on that subject and we know that is something expected by our iPad users. Concerning the other subjects your raised, we plan improvements for futures releases.
