Fake rehearsed therapy

It’s almost like AI. The therapist is speaking off a prompt. The text messages responses are just pdfs sent from AI. Save your self your time and money. This is your mental health on the line. Don’t risk it with this fake company.

THE WORST

This is the worst therapy I’ve ever come across. I was offered 8 free sessions through EAP. I was making really good progress with this person, only to find out they don’t take my insurance so I had to stop seeing my provider. This was very upsetting and distressing for me as it has taken a lot for me to start therapy and open up with someone. It would’ve been nice to know ahead of time that my provider was out of network and. So much for mental health support…do better.

Misleading

I was given a provider who supposedly has 0 years of experience in practice and was just a very unfit therapist for me. I canceled before the 24 hour period but I’m still being charged. Support will not help you with anything other than how to pay or login. It was a waist of time and money. You’re also not aware of how much everything will cost till it’s to late.

Loads of Issues

I’ve used this service over the years and sometimes it’s okay other times it’s dangerously non functional. Why am I being matched with a provider outside of my home state that cannot counsel me?!?? I am going through it right now how is this possible

How does Talkspace work?

Users share their therapy preferences and are matched with a licensed therapist. Communication occurs through unlimited text, audio, or video messages, with therapists responding at least once daily, five days a week. Therapists can also create personalized podcasts called Talkcasts to help users stay engaged between sessions.

Is Talkspace covered by insurance?

Yes, Talkspace partners with many leading health plans and employers in the U.S. to make mental health care more accessible. Users can check their eligibility for coverage by providing their insurance information or employer details during checkout.

How effective is Talkspace?

Studies suggest Talkspace is as effective as face-to-face therapy. Research indicates that a significant percentage of participants found it equally or more effective than in-person therapy, with notable improvements in depression and anxiety symptoms observed in users after just two months.

Who are the therapists on Talkspace?

The Talkspace provider network consists of thousands of licensed therapists across all 50 U.S. states. These therapists are vetted and credentialed according to NCQA standards and have experience treating a wide range of mental health needs, including depression, anxiety, stress, and PTSD.
