Changed my life!

I’ve been using talkspace for a few years now, sometimes having consistent weekly therapy, and some lulls when it was less necessary. But having started therapy again has been wonderful, I feel lighter as a human being, mothers, wife, employee, friend, daughter, person, etc… I did also begin using a psychiatrist on here and that’s been very helpful to have my meds adjusted. I feel both of my providers really care about helping others and it shows. I appreciate their hard work and always showing up, when sometimes I haven’t wanted to even show up for myself. A always feel better after an appointment.

Had high hopes, BUT…

I really liked the therapist that I found through this app. HOWEVER, on our second session the app all of a sudden started malfunctioning and cut our session short. Then upon logging back on it asked me for my credit card info and I couldn’t log back on to complete our session until I’ve filled it out. Couldn’t this have been asked when I signed on? Or perhaps AFTER the session? Absolutely RIDICULOUS.

Grateful

I have been doing talk therapy on and off for years now and the professionals on Talkspace have been such a blessing!
I love how easy the app is to use and the notifications and reminders because otherwise I would miss my appointments quite honestly.
Great tool, if your insurance participates I highly recommend!

Time zones how do they work

Talk space has a recurring problem with timezone. So you book your appointment but it’s in the wrong timezone.
And for me, it was both wrong. Timezone in chat was different than the timezone for booking appointments, yet in settings it says my timezone is correct.
Repeatedly reached out to their tech support and it’s still
Happening.

Waste of time

I felt like these providers didn’t care on the phone with one provider and she says “what do you want me to do” if I have to tell her what’s the point in seeing her!

I do not recommend anyone waste their time or money on this app I wanted to give them a chance but failing to meet expectations 2 times and I’m done

FAQ

What is Talkspace?

Talkspace is an online platform that provides convenient and affordable mental health support. It matches users with licensed therapists in their state, allowing communication via text, audio, and video messaging. The service aims to improve mental well-being for individuals aged 13 and older.

How does Talkspace work?

Users share their therapy preferences and are matched with a licensed therapist. Communication occurs through unlimited text, audio, or video messages, with therapists responding at least once daily, five days a week. Therapists can also create personalized podcasts called Talkcasts to help users stay engaged between sessions.

Is Talkspace covered by insurance?

Yes, Talkspace partners with many leading health plans and employers in the U.S. to make mental health care more accessible. Users can check their eligibility for coverage by providing their insurance information or employer details during checkout.

How effective is Talkspace?

Studies suggest Talkspace is as effective as face-to-face therapy. Research indicates that a significant percentage of participants found it equally or more effective than in-person therapy, with notable improvements in depression and anxiety symptoms observed in users after just two months.

Who are the therapists on Talkspace?

The Talkspace provider network consists of thousands of licensed therapists across all 50 U.S. states. These therapists are vetted and credentialed according to NCQA standards and have experience treating a wide range of mental health needs, including depression, anxiety, stress, and PTSD.
