  • Greatest app Ever!!

I was so excited when I found out my used MKZ had an embedded modem and I could use this app to start it lock and unlock the doors and other things. Then merry Christmas on December 24 I received a message that mine is a 3G modem and the cell companies are doing away with 3g so I order to keep using this I have to upgrade the modem. I doubt it’s going to be cost effective at all and then I’m guessing there is going to be a huge monthly fee involved I order to use this anymore.
I don’t know the answers yet but I’m going to find out and when I do I will come back here and post the results. Good or bad. Any who it is a son has been a really really cool app to use. The car is pretty awesome also. Hybrid!!!

I am glad you will be able to use the features while the 3G infrastructure has not been completely disabled. Our Concierge can help with those answers. Please call us at 844-324-2330 if you want us to lend a hand.
  • Free basics- start & unlock

Appreciated the latest version made the lock and unlock icons larger. Previously were hard to tell part. Also app is free and doesn’t require an OnStar subscription to start engine or lock/unlock (like other mfg).
Can also enter vehicle details like plate #.
The poor: does not have my dealer phone # to set up appointments. Only online which does not allow concierge service. And if you do use it, you must enter vehicle details (should pull from app). Has a menu “service history” that should be updated by dealer. I use the same Linc. dealer but app states “no history”.

  • Watch Inconsistent

    Edit 10/25
Still doesn’t work on watch, series 5. Constant loop refresh, your vehicle not equipped for use.
Except car is properly equipped. Shouldn’t have go through so much just to attempt to get an app to work properly
Edit 2/14 Thank you. I will reinstall to watch if there is update to allow watch to use app independently. Half the time using app on Apple Watch Series 5 with LTE says cannot connect. I do not have iPhone near when this occurs. I assume watch with LTE wouldn’t need iPhone near by to work. I have even gone to making sure logged in to app on iPhone before leaving. Didn’t matter. Once you get the cannot connect on watch there is no way to get beyond it, just keeps repeating that message/result.

  • Getting there

App works most of the time. I have the ‘21 Black Label Navigator. Biggest flaw is that when using the app as a key is that the doors don’t always unlock when approaching, or even after I place my hand in the door handle near the sensor, and it’ll take 10-15 sec for the door to unlock. Same thing when exiting the car, won’t always lock when I touch the sensor on the door handle. Also, when using app as a key… when the car is put in park and I get out, but leave the phone in the car, like when I get the mail when arriving home, and I get back in the car, I sometimes have to input the password on the car display to put in park.

  • Battery burn? FIXED

I love the app, but lately, I’ve noticed my iPhone 11 battery rapidly depleting, and when checking the battery usage in Settings, it’s almost entirely due to the Lincoln Way app, which appears to be running in the background, doing...I don’t know what? I rarely use the app, other than to start, or lock my car. Update: Developer seems to have addressed this in an update. LOVE the app now.

Rating updated. New Issue…I really liked being able to lock/unlock/start the vehicle using my watch os LinconWay App. Has this disappeared. It is not installed in my watch and no longer appears in the list of uninstalled apps that I might be able to add. I searched on the Apple Watch app on my iPhone and there is no “LincolWay” app there either. Is this no longer available, is it coming back, or is there some way I can get it back onto my watch if it never left in the first place?

Edit 1: Thank you for letting us know. We tracked down the cause relating to phones running iOS 14+ when connected to a vehicle using USB. Our team has already released an update (the App Store confirms you can install now). Please install the new version of the iPhone operating system along with the Lincoln Way app and try restarting the phone if you experience this again. If after updating you still would like assistance from our Concierge, please call us at 844-324-2330. Edit 2: Thank you so much for editing your reply; I am very happy to see everything is running smoothly again! Edit 3: You are correct; I have seen others missing that feature too. The functionality with the Apple Watch connecting to the app was temporarily removed due to poor client experiences and will be reimplemented in a later version. Our team is working diligently to help restore it. Thank you for your patience.
  • Very inconsistent

Let’s start with the time I and my baby were out to eat and came back to the SUV to leave. I did not have my key because I was using my phone as the key. We were able to get on the car with it but the car would not start. So I had to call my husband who drove 30min to bring me my keys to drive home.
The phone as a key and the app in general is NEVER consistent. Currently I’m trying to sign into the app to schedule an oil change but there are “technical issues” and has been like that for a couple days.
I’ve had to change my password a few times just because it decides it doesn’t want to take it anymore I guess?? And I had been taking screenshots and recording what my login and passwords are every time so I know I’m entering them correctly.
I stopped using the app as a key because I’m afraid of it not working. And also my own personal issue of bringing my key with me somewhere and leaving it because my phone let me in the car and started it up LOL!

  • My 2014 Jeep U-Connect App was better!!

Got my Aviator in late 2020. I was glad it had an app similar to the U-Connect I had in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I especially liked how an address could be looked up via the Lincoln Way app and sent to the vehicle’s nav system. It worked that way for a few months. Then there was an update. The feature stopped working and the app kept giving me the message to disconnect Apple CarPlay-which we do not use and it was not turned on in the car or on our phones. I couldn’t figure it out. I just spent about 20 minutes on the phone with Lincoln Concierge. Even though Apple CarPlay was turned off, any phones listed on that screen needed to be totally removed. Once accomplished the app would ‘try’ to push the address to the nav system but also gave the message my phone must be tethered to the car’s USB port. This is a very bad move by the app developers. People do not want cords strung in their vehicles-hence all the charging pads showing up. But the biggest insult to me as a buyer is to pay 30K more than a 2014 Jeep and end up with less functionality. BOOOOOOO!!!

  • When it works it’s great

Used with a new to me 16 MKX BL. The authorization had to be removed from the previous owner through the concierge service. The authorization appeared fairly quickly and two weeks later the app crashed and the sync wouldn’t authorize , the concierge tried but could not get it to authorize. Multiple resets and Shazam it started working, not holding my breath, but glad it is holding solid again. Wish it had more functions than lock/ unlock and start. The mileage updates but tire pressure and other options are not included , probably due to this being not being sync 3.4. Convenient yes, necessary no, so if it stops working oh well , but if you introduce a product it should be fairly flawless. I’ll use it when I can, still love my Lincoln regardless.

I really appreciate you spending the time to let us know how you are liking it so far. The remote features can come in handy, so I hope you are able to find opportunities to use them!
  • updates to look into

Hey could you add a feature where we can turn on and off our headlights when remote starting the vehicle when trying to start the vehicle up from the app please ? thank you. the app itself is amazing. gives you a peace of mind but even greater peace of mine updating the headlights features. and also send alerts to our phones when we we forget to lock the doors or where a window is down. things like when it rains or snows.

  • Good, but still not without its B u G s. ‼️‼️

Recently just purchased a Used-New (to me 😂) 2015 Lincoln MKZ 3.7 AWD Loaded about a week ago. The app & the car both notify me that I have an embedded modem installed on my vehicle and to pair it with the Lincoln Way app. After performing what is known as a Master Rest, I finally connected Z E U S to the LincolnWay app, and was now able to perform remote features (lock, unlock, remote start), and updates on my vehicle’s location. But here’s with the bad begins, it displays my car’s fuel level, but doesn’t show any numerical figures to demonstrate exact mileage. The same can be said for my tire pressure monitoring system, as well as my oil pressure gauge. There are no numbers or details for any of them‼️‼️‼️ I can check my oil levels through the car, not sure how to check the tire pressure though❓🤔 Is it a good app, yes... is it an excellent app that marks A L L the spots, N O .

Congratulations on your new (to you) MKZ; Zeus sounds incredible! It is fantastic to see you set up your remote features through the app. Some of what you describe were design choices surrounding the hardware. The fuel/oil levels currently displays as a percentage. The tire pressure system for 2015-2017 model year vehicles will only monitor and give alerts but will not provide exact values. Please call our Concierge at 844-324-2330 if you would like more help/feedback.
