  • Drains phone battery! (Updated)

    Updated up to 4 stars since the team behind this is actually listening and reading reviews. I received a response from the developers in a reasonable timeframe. Kudos to the customer service. They have claimed to address this problem with the recent Mac OS update. Although I have not tried the fix out as the issue made me delete the app. Maybe someday I’ll reinstall and see if things got better.

    Log out when not using otherwise you’re phone will get hot and battery drains quickly. Makes me wonder how much data is taken. If you are having this problem on your iPhone, check the battery usage in settings and view what’s eating up battery. For someone who barely uses the app, in last 10 days this app accounted for 20% of battery usage. One day was really bad, it had background activity up to 5hrs in a day!

    Update: Looking at the battery usage charts I have suspicion the high background data usage is when I’m logged into the app and driving in my car.

  • Drains Apple Battery

    The app works fine; however, the app drains the battery on my iPhone. Therefore, I have had to delete the app which means I do not have the remote start function from my phone - very disappointing. I keep reinstalling the app only to have to delete it again as it starts draining the battery again. I also have turned off background refresh. I have spoken with Apple and they have confirmed all of the settings are correct on my phone. My last vehicle was a Lexus, but I never experienced this problem. Please Lincoln correct this problem!!

  • Worked prior to update

    Update: Nov 19 - took car to dealership where they did some technical stuff with the modem. Still does not work. The start button is missing in the app and the map goes to some random place or does not show the vehicle at all on the map.
    Will be returning to dealership soon to see if anything else can be done.

    The app worked great until the last update. It quit showing the vehicle location and would only give an approximate address location. I thought if I logged out of the app and logged back in then maybe it would reset itself. BIG mistake! Now the password to log back in is showing not valid. Ok, so I did a password reset. Another BIG mistake! Even with customer assistance, the app is still not operational. I was able to log on and it shows a red box “activate this vehicle”. Click on it and nothing happens. Drats! Hopefully repairs will be resolved soon.

    It is imperative that we get the app working again. The App Store shows the latest update was released after you posted and your device is compatible. We recommend installing the app and calling our Concierge again (844-324-2330) if this does not take care of it for you.
  • Promising

    At its best, I’m able to start, lock and unlock my car from anywhere which I love. Is it sometimes delayed minutes while I’m standing at my car waiting to get in? Yes. Does the phone as key option sometimes not work and therefore you can’t rely on this option 100% which pretty much defeats the purpose? Also yes.

    There were some extras available, like oil change life and vehicle location which was a nice helpful touch to me. That was apparently eliminated in the last few weeks I’ve noticed.

    Besides that, I had no issues syncing my vehicles and it works to lock/start/unlock... sometimes.

  • Battery drain

    I just got a Lincoln Aviator a month ago and I downloaded the Lincoln Way app. I have to say it works much faster than my previous Cadillac app.. it does crash at times when I initially launch the app but after opening the app it works flawlessly. However after the newiOS 14 it runs my battery down. When I look at my iPhone 11 max pro battery usage the Lincoln Way is always above 50% usage every day although I do not use it on a daily basis. I have turned off everything on the Lincoln Way app to try to remedy the consumption of battery. My next option is deleting the app as a wait patiently for an update...

  • Vehicle Information

    Update to my earlier review. Lincoln responded to my review and corrected the issue with an update. I appreciate the response to take care of the issue. The vehicle information is now working. Thank you!

    Lincoln Way will not update my 2018 MKC information. Dealer did an update with the vehicle software. The vehicle start and lock features in the app work now but the fuel level, tire pressure, location,etc. will not update. Tried app refresh and after waiting several minutes I get a message stating that the Lincoln Way app is not available. Please try again later. This happens every time I try to refresh the app. Love the MKC but disappointed with the app.

  • Meh

    I mean, it’s not a bad app at all if I actually got to do what it said. I got my car from a honda dealership, there aren’t any Lincoln dealerships near me. I just got this app 5 months after having my 2015 MKZ. I’ve been trying to “activate my vehicle” and it worked the first time however I didn’t know I had to be in my car with the car on for it to “activate” everything. So I went down to my car turned it on and waited, nothing popped up so i pressed the button to activate it again and it said it was unable to because another activation in progress (I’m guessing from the first time I tried) so I waited for an hour, tried again, same message. I called and they told me it was because my embedded modem was out of date. However if that was the case wouldn’t the dealership have told me that? They told me about all the other recalls or “fixes” were on file for my car, AND it worked the first time I just wasn’t in my car??? Really upset I can’t properly use the app..tried everything, deleting and re downloading, restarting the car, turning my phone on and off, creating a new account, nothing worked. Pretty upset.

  • Not working on Apple Watch

    UPDATE TO ISSUE BELOW:
    Now since the updates from when posting this. Apple Watch will start my car and quickly also. Thanks for the update and fixing this issue!!

    So I have deleted app, reinstalled app SEVERAL times to see if it would work, nope...so the app just does not work fast enough with the car on iPhone nor watch. I’ll just carry my keys like the old days...technology is so advanced but these apps are not. Anyone else having these difficulties???

  • Useless

    Have watched this app go from Great to Good to Allright to Useless. Every time I go to use this app I have to enter my password even with facial recognition. I use this app several times a day and it gets monotonous how many times it asks for my password. Delete it, reinstall it, same thing. My Apple watch app tells me to open the app on my phone. Naturally it's asking for my password, Again. Hope it works for you cause it’s not for me!

    Update: got a response from developer telling me my app is outdated. According to the app it’s up to date, yet every time I open the app I have to log in- every time!!!!!

    Also the app for my Apple watch stopped working altogether. Still Keeps telling me to log on my phone. Ridiculous app.

    The app’s option to start the vehicle as well as lock/unlock the vehicle disappeared. I reached out to Lincoln via twitter with no response.
