  • Help for update issue

    When opening the app I was led to do an update. The update would not run and therefore neither would the app. I have had needed to report claims on the app and have been unable to do so because of this. Today I deleted the app completely and then downloaded it again. Signed into it as usual and the app works now! I hope this helps someone who is experiencing this issue.

  • Update required

    App states that an update is required but does not allow for you to update it. When you attempt to, you are redirected to the prompt to update. Now, you must go directly to the website to complete any and everything. It is very frustrating for those of us using std or FMLA and HAVE to be able to utilize the app. Also, there is no way to alert Unum to the issue without calling directly which defeats the purpose of the app. This has been an ongoing issue for MONTHS!!! Do better!! If you are new to Unum don’t bother downloading the app just go directly to the app or call.

  • Update

    Stated I need to update to a newer version in order to continue, but not able to update as required. There is no button to update. Searched all available areas I was able to get into, which was only the page to open the app. There is no area or button for updating newer versions. This makes this app useless.

  • Update required!

    I also am having the same issue where it says update required and when I go into the App Store, it does not update. Is there an ETA as to when this issue will be resolved? I have pending letters and information that I am not able to upload as there is no way to update. This is very frustrating and it’s been like this for over a month for me. This is very poor service and I do not recommend going through Unum as all they say is that they are working on this issue.

  • Unable to download app

    Unum app says updates have been made and you must download new app. There is no ability to update the app, it will not allow you to do so. Same issues with the new sign on via the web. It’s not recognizing my information requested (I’ve been on disability through Unum for 4 years) and is forcing you to call and speak to someone during business hours.

  • The is the worst app ever

    Says there is an update but when you click on update it takes you back to the App Store. Will not updat, unable to use. Called UNUM and tried to report the issue and was told they don’t handle to app or installation at their customer service. I asked her to please notify UNUM’s app developer to let them know they have app issues. Reluctantly, she said she would tell her supervisor… yea, right!

  • Delete and reinstall

    I have been using this app since March of 2019 without a problem.
    But this month I’ve been trying unsuccessfully to get my W2 forms

    Update Required notice

    The App asked to updated (I noticed many other users don’t seem to know that if you can’t update you can delete and reinstall).

    anyway after that i was able to log in and be disappointed again, I couldn’t get to the W2 form so I guess I’ll have problems on tax day (April 18th not 15th because of the covid delay). I will try to call UNUM and get a pdf of my W2. With so many people having problems with the app I have no confidence that I’ll have any luck on the phone. PLEASE FIX THE APP!

  • Usually handy

    Unfortunately, it was requested that I attempt to upload a document via the app versus my laptop due to some upload issues, but the app tells me I need the newer version, yet that version is not available. Not a customer-friendly situation.
  • Update needed but update doesn’t want to work.

    I can’t open the App as an update is needed. I go to do an update and I see a note saying “you have the latest version and don’t need an update”. My county needs a statement from Unum site and I have not been able to do that for a week now, update is in my way. This is the 3rd time in about 6 months that the App says update and I can’t do anything about it.
    Unum and it’s staff is great, no complaints there but someone in their IT department needs to look into this. I’m sure they are trying or will do something about it.

  • Discouraged

    I have an active policy that I pay for with my current employer. When I log into the website or App it tells me that my account is attached to my previous employer and does not list any of my current benefits. When I sent an email in regards to this issue. Unum sent me an encrypted message that goes absolutely nowhere and I still end up with same result as before.

    The above is relative to a period prior to March 30th. The company insists that my problem originated from a log in issue of which was never the issue. The real issue was that my account still contained information about my previous employer and not my current employer of which I pay premium via payroll deduction.

    Then, I go to my phone to check the APP and it says “update”. The screen goes blank and reverts to please update!! WTH?? So, I read the reviews and you can imagine my expression.

    Without any resolve , the next course of action could be a call to my States Attorney General’s Office.
